Lovely little tea shop opposite the pavilion gardens which is convenient. Staff friendly and helpful, food very good, excellent coffees. We always end up in No.6 after taking my elderly mum for a spin in her wheelchair around the Pavillion Gardens!

·

Lovely traditional tearoom. Excellent food and cakes with friendly staff.

·

Very nice food and tea/coffee in a traditional feel tea shop. Home made cakes look wonderful. Perhaps next time.

·

I visited here on a Sunday evening and it is great as it does tea until 5 pm on a SundayJust what I needed after a journey and great staff and lovely customersThey also do bed and breakfast (not tried which i may look into in the future)Prompt service

We met up with some friends for afternoon tea. Good location, next to the park and theatre. Wonderful sandwiches and cakes in the meal Definitely on my list for a return visit...

Went to the tearooms on Sunday morning, whilst the rest of Buxton was quiet and other cafes not open.Delightful place with old teapots on the picture rail and beautiful pictures of Buxton from years gone by.The menu appeared rather limited , until we realised that there was a separate bakery menu.Toasted teacake and a pot of Tea ordered. Service was quick. There were a lovely selection of cakes if you were visiting later in the day. Reasonable pricing. Pleasant surroundings with a view of Buxton Chuffin' Opera House out of the window. Definitely worth visiting if you are in Buxton.

We was seated quickly but was told that there was a 30min wait for the food which was not a problem as we only wanted desert and a tea. The deserts on display looked really nice, I asked for a cheese cake with pouring cream however I got clotted cream, I would have spoken to somebody about this however the staff looked very busy and it wasn't too much of a big deal. I would go again and would recommend.

Afternoon tea not great. Scones incredibly vanilla-y and came without clotted cream initially. Cakes looked like the last pieces from the tray. Sandwiches very mediocre.

Good food and drink. Staff work very hard to serve everyone. Would have been 5stars but when I first went in. One was on the phone and ignored me the other making tea. At some point either one could have said I will not be a minute. Think they were under stress am. As went bk pm no problems at all. Maybe staffed had been pinged. Classical building. Lovely decor. Highly recommend

Long wait to enter with staff appearing to ignore us - a simple acknowledgement that we were there would have been courteous.Once inside, the service was slow, nearly 10 minutes before our order was taken. Over half an hour before the food arrived. My wife had porridge which was good, but over £7 for two poached eggs on two thin slices of toast was not good value for money.Prior to Covid we visited regularly: now there appears to be new management, we will not be returning in a hurry!
