Pack Horse Inn in High Peak

Just excellent. A return visit. Rose could not have been more helpful when we added another night to our booking and also added a room for our adult daughter and son in law. A niece and her daughter also stayed. All rooms were excellent: clean and comfortable with good usb charging points. We had both lunch and dinner in the Pack Horse. The food and service were both excellent and the kitchen happy to accommodate variations without any fuss. A wide choice for breakfast - the eggs benedict were fantastic! Highly recommended.

Excellent staff, friendly, professional and very helpful. Amazing restaurant menu Excellent food. Beautiful room with views. Only downside was lack of hot water for some reason.

Lovely pub food and I love that they do curry of the day half and half, I've had several and they're all good. My only complaint is that they don't offer the skin on fries with the curry, they do thick floury chips I'm not a fan of and the menu just says chips so easy to forget when ordering. Luckily my OH will swap!

The homemade Steak and ale pie is superb 👌. Nice sunny day but the log fire was stoked like The Flying Scotsman train! It was warm sat next to it to say the least.Best pub for excellent value meals around.

The room was pretty, comfortable, well equipped, and spotlessly clean. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was all one would expect or want. Great hiking and mountain biking terrain.

Amazing food, staff and service above and beyond. Rooms spotless, owner a credit to the trade. Better service than most 5 star hotels I have stayed in. This is what all food and drink establishments aspire to, 5 star plus if could give it

I live in New Zealand and wanted to surprise my brother with gift vouchers to celebrate his 60th birthday. The process of getting this organised was so straightforward and the delivery outstanding. Excellent service, Thank you😊

I have been going to the pack horse for over 15 years, it's a friendly pub and restaurant having extended over the years. It now has a separate dining room and traveller's can stay as rooms have been added, the food is very good to, they do a lovely Sunday roast. The pack horse Inn has lots of charm, plenty of parking and in the summer, it has a large outdoor seating area where you can enjoy the sun, and choose food from a varied menu.

Called in after a round of golf at New Mills, have to say the quality of food and service was excellent and highly recommend.i had the fish & chips and my friends curry of the day and everybody thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was good value.I would advise booking though as we just turned up early and managed to get a table but as it's so good, it gets busy quickly and most tables were reserved 👌

Perfect for our short stay in the Peak District. A really nice room that was spotlessly clean and warm. Lunch was fabulous with the only criticism...it was too generous in the size of the portion. So who will complain about that !!! We went out for dinner but wish we hadn't but back to our room we had a good night sleep before a sumptuous full English breakfast.I recommend this venue to stay and eat. It is not gourmet food but doesn't pretend to be. Just good quality food.
