The spa is well equipped and clean. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and large - we had a nice view onto the crescent. The decor throughout feels very like a chain-hotel, and the service at breakfast was quite slow and confused. Overall, it's a nice hotel and we enjoyed the spa, but it is quite far from a special, 5* experience and so doesn't quite cut it for value for money.

The room and food were lovely but the service was atrocious. Firstly we had a superior room and the coffee provided in the room was cheap instant coffee sachets which tasted awful. We had massage treatments booked late afternoon and the therapist I had was very inexperienced and I can only assume she hadn’t been doing it long but the therapist my husband had he did say was very good and knowledgeable. We had dinner booked for 8.15pm where we were shown to our table, when we sat down my husband noticed lip type marks on both water glasses and on 1 wine glass which had the remains of red wine at the bottom so we asked for them to be replaced. The waiter then brought the wine which we had ordered but no glasses so we had to ask for clean glasses. The wine was then left for us to serve ourselves along with the water. We then received our starters at 9pm along with the bread at the same time!!! Whilst sitting at our table we noticed on both tables either side of us had dirty dishes left on the tables from the previous diners and they were still there when we left. The hotel isn’t cheap to stay there so you would expect a better service than this and definitely more professionalism but this should lead from the managers so the staff will follow along with better training. At breakfast this morning there were only 3 members of staff that showed any professionalism 1 being a tall slim male wearing a mask, a very blonde female who was working along side a dark haired girl which were setting up clean tables by where we were sitting. Unfortunately we won’t be returning.

All the staff are fantastic and friendly, everyone smiling, made our stay all the more special! Unfortunately only stayed one night, definitely extra days/nights are needed! The spa area is really nice and relaxing, again all the staff in there too are wonderful! The restaurant is great, breakfast was perfect, our room was spot on, all in all a fantastic stay and definitely come back soon! Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a great one!

The hotel and Spa were very nice the only issues we seemed to come across were we believe linked to the lack of staff. Twice we had to walk off to find a member of staff to pay our bar tab and meal. We were told we had to book our breakfast time which is ridiculous. We just turned up when we got up and it was near empty. The changing rooms were closed and blamed on Covid precautions STILL !! Nice 5 star hotel but 4 star service at best.

Just had a perfect short stay. We really enjoyed the whole experience. Our room was lovely, spacious, scrupulously clean, and had a lovely feel to it. We had dinner and breakfast which were both great, the dinner menu was unusual with so many lovely sounding dishes that choosing what to have was difficult (but in a good way!). The spa facilities were the best I've ever experienced. Most outstanding of all was the people. All staff were welcoming, efficient and managed the right blend of friendliness and professional competence every time. Everything from the check in onwards just made the whole experience relaxing. We will be back soon, thank you.

I've wanted to visit since the spa reopened and my Mum's birthday was the perfect excuse to book a one night stay! Absolutely loved the spa facilities, completely worth getting up at 7am to get the infinity pool to ourselves. Staff were really friendly, the room felt so spacious (we booked the classic room) and opulent. We will definitely be back :)

Very expensive coffee, £4.00 for a cup, and worth every penny. What and oasis of calm and civility. Exquisite decor, remarkably polite, clean and pleasant staff. Efficient service, comfortable seating, classical music, very low volume, but adds character. The whole bar area is impeccable and it is obvious that meticulous planning has gone into the design to keep it in character, and standard, with the building.Well done to the renovation team and management.

We celebrated a 50th Birthday at the hotel on Saturday in one of the private function rooms. Everything about the evening was excellent: the staff were absolutely wonderful, the buffet was delicious, the hotel immaculate.Claire-Marie co-ordinated the event, and her team made the party run like clockwork. The room set-up was perfect, and there were always staff on hand who showed professionalism, courtesy, and good humour throughout the evening. Our private bar was serviced brilliantly by William & Co. helping the party into full swing!I cannot speak highly enough of the hotel and staff - thank you for making our party perfect in every way.

Absolutely fantastic. From the moment we entered to the moment we left, friendly helpful staff, the spa suites were amazing and loads of variety, I've never had an Indian head massage before but the young apprentice who did my massage made me feel relaxed and at ease. (First time having anything like this.) The food service was outstanding and we received our meals and drinks in good time, the restaurant was near full and the staff were still attentive to our needs. Will definitely be coming again.
