Simply Thai Restaurant in High Peak

Lovely friendly Thai restaurant. Food was great, albeit a little hot for dishes that should have been more mild.Restaurant is big inside so lots of space between tables. Service was spot on with staff happy to describe dishes.Would recommend and would definitely visit again. 4 stars based on the food being a bit too hot.

Simply Thai? More like Simply Get in MY BELLY!!! it is so delicious. I love that when I order a curry it was green (instead of boring brown) and was decorated with flowers. Lovely lovely lovely lovely good good good place. Best place to eat in Buxton. The toilets are so clean I love it

Four us went for a meal before a show at the Opera House on a Thursday night. I advise booking as they were full and turning people away. The service was good and speedy. We all enjoyed our food and the main course portions were generous. Would definitely recommend.

The restaurant and staff were pleasant enough but if I am being brutally honest the food was just not Authentically Thai. It was watery and tasteless and a sort of home cooked vibe about it.Sorry to be the bearer of such news but we would not recommend and wont be returning. They also had no chop sticks although I accept this is not a Thai standard it’s the first of many Thai Restaurants I have been to that could not supply them and I do hate eating Thai with silver ware.

Easily one of the best thai restaurants in the area, every dish I've had there has been fantastic, they say they use fresh herbs and spices in every dish and you can believe that, always full of flavour and packs a punch. Would recommend.

Probably the most delicious meal I've ever had. Food was so so tasty, lots of vegetarian options, something for everyone. Service was also amazing, the ladies that work there are absolutely lovely. Good value for such amazing food too, shame we live an hour away else I'd be coming back every week!

We had this restaurant recommended to us and it's easy to see why. A huge range of choices, with some good vegan ones too. Great service, super clean restaurant and extremely quick and fresh food. The only downside is no visible ramp for disabled access (it'd be worth checking if they have one before going), the restaurant is on stepped levels and the toilets are downstairs.We booked via phone call as their website only allows for 24 hour advance bookings.We went for the salt and pepper tofu style starter with crispy garlic, spring onion and chili. My partner had a pad thai with chicken and I had a dry tofu curry for mains.The food was really high quality, the tofu was crispy and chewy and the starter was fresh with a little hint of spice. The spice of my main built up over time and was extremely tasty and fresh with hints of lemongrass.The wine list was very extensive and we went for a house white, which was reasonable. When we booked we were told that we had to be out at 7pm and we got there at 5.30pm. An hour and a half was perfect to finish a bottle and have two courses.The tables were cleaned thoroughly for the next guests, the staff were polite and professional too.

I was advised to book here if I wanted to try it and seeing how busy it was at lunchtime I tried my luck and managed to get the last table for that evening (5PM!).The staff were friendly and efficient, the mixed starters arrived and were delicious so when the mains arrived I had high expectations which if anything were exceeded!The pork dish had a fabulous kick of heat and the meat melted in the mouth, my only regret was not ordering rice to soak up more of the amazing sauce! The Weeping Tiger was equally as succulent and a generous portion.If you are visiting Buxton, plan ahead and be sure to make a reservation before you get there!
