Now shutdown, It used to be a great pub but someone took over then another person took over and didn’t open on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and when they did open it wasn’t until 4pm at the earliest, sometimes they weren’t open on opening days, it was ran as if they would just open when they could be bothered, the landlady needed to go on a college course for how to run a pub

This place knows how to please their customers. Constantly with a very welcoming approach. The food is affordably priced, constantly delicious and neat.

We go to Spinners a few times a month. Very good sized portions and home style cooking. Drinks are at a good price.We now have kids and they are made welcome.

We have been here a number of times for food and drinks. I would highly recommend, lovely food, great relaxed atmosphere. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Very reasonable prices.

Fantastic place to eat.Great quality locally sourced ingredients.The gammon steak is absolutely beautiful, no frozen chips here, all freshly cut spuds.

Abysmal service and the landlady is a disgrace. We came our for a family meal and 2 people arrived a few minutes earlier than the rest. They served the 2 and top the rest we could no longer order. I will never return and wouldn't be surprised if it was out of business anytime soon as it is understandably empty

Fantastic food, guaranteed not to go home hungry. Penny's welcome is like being invited into her home. Warm and cozy, sit back and relax as you are never rushed.

l have been to this pub a few times now and what a wonderful pub it is no football no loud music only relaxing piped in music great, thought l would try the food out, was with a friend we had a ribeye steak and my friend had the salmon steak and l must say how nice it was and great service great atmosphere and the landlady is always extremely welcoming have recommended to friends. Gorgeous homemade food. Pleasant staff. Cosy place. Made to feel very welcome. I only ask this..... Why isn't this place packed successful and open all week? It should be.

A few weeks ago my wife and I stopped at the Spinners Arms with my two year old daughter and our teenage niece. We were on route to the Lake District from Sheffield on Friday evening for February half term.I wish this could have been a review about the food, however after waiting for nearly an hour in a restaurant with nearly 10 coupes in eating we ended up walking out.Upon entering, my wife asked if they were serving food. The land lady informed us that there would be a 15 minute wait before we could order which we happily accepted. We ordered drinks and awaited the opportunity to order.15 minutes went by and we asked the bar maid if we could order. She apologised and we continued waiting. We asked again 3 or 4 more times until we noticed another couple walk in and order food straight away.I wouldn’t have minded if we had been told that they couldn’t be bothered to serve us in the first place, but having to wait an hour with a very hungry child was unacceptable.I didn’t challenge the staff at all and remained pleasant throughout. Our daughter was well behaved and we couldn’t understand the poor level of service in an empty pub. We left the pub without food and drove another 10 minutes before reaching a pub who’s chef could handle more than a handful of orders.I wouldn’t recommend the Spinners Arms to anyone who isn’t a regular because they don’t seem to want to serve you. Again I can’t tell you whether the food is nice but it’s not only the food that makes a great pub/restaurant it’s also the custom and atmosphere.
