St. Moritz Restaurant in High Peak

Superb authentic Italian restaurant. Wonderful service. Delicious food in a great atmosphere. 100 yds to Buxton Theatre, perfect for pre theatre meal.

The food and customer service was so good we reserved a table three nights in a row whilst staying at the Spa Hotel round the corner.Across the three nights we had a mix of fish, sea bass, risotto and ravioli, with all meals being of an exceptional standard.It’s been a while since I have come across such excellent customer service and commend the staff highly.Thankfully the St Moritz restaurant is only an hour away, so I could come over again …. and again !

Lovely little restaurant. Our bruschetta (classics and il fresco) were delicious and our mains (a chicken gnocchi dish and spaghetti carbonara) we're good too.The staff were friendly and were sympathetic when they told us our show at the Opera House was cancelled!I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here though. Recommended.

Me and my partner go to St Moritz for a more formal date night. The food is excellent, service is great and all good value. The seating is ok, sitting upstairs is better than sitting downstairs but we have never had a bad experience here.

We had a short stay in Buxton for a friends wedding and decided to try this place out. Lovely and cosy interior and the waiter was kind, polite and attentive. The food was so delicious and cooked to perfection. I got two dishes - risotto and gnocchi both as a starter because I couldn’t decide what to get, the portions were generous even for starter sizes. My husband got a pizza and calamari which he enjoyed - they changed up the toppings on his pizza with no extra fuss or charge. The prices very reasonable too. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and even worth travelling for

Great food, and service, at a reasonable price. Can’t fault any aspect. The waiters were attentive and gave made our meal special, in comfortable surroundings. Well worth a visit.

First visit to this restaurant and it certainly won’t be the last.We booked a table in advance and where pleasantly surprised by how quaint and relaxing the restaurant was.We were greeted with smiles and shown to our table.We ordered a drink whilst looking at the menu and it was so nice not to be rushed.We ordered starters and I have to say the mussels were the best I ever had.Mains were served with excellent wine.The guy came with the parmigiana which was a nice touch .We came out some two hours later having had a lovely meal and great service .Many Thanks and see you soon .

We booked a table at St Moritz for my birthday, having searched online for a lovely restaurant in Buxton. We were staying in the area.St Moritz is clearly popular as we could only get a 5pm booking on a Monday night - a sign of a great restaurant.The staff were very friendly, courteous and attentive. The ambience was lovely, not a big place, quiet small and intimate. But the food?! It was totally amazing!! We were blown away. Best compliments to the chef. Delicious!! We will certainly visit again next time we are in Buxton.

Excellent food and a good atmosphere. If there's a noisy group, it can be quite overwhelming as it's a small restaurant. However, if you are here to decide whether to book (and you'll need to, as they are often fully booked come the evening), just do it.

Our last night in Buxton and a lovely end to the week. St Moritz has lovely food, attentive service staff and a great ambience that offers a great dining experience. The food was well prepared and good value for money. We sat on the mezzanine balcony and were able to see the stained glass ceiling, which isn't real but architecturally taken from the design of the front windows of the building. It added a quirky touch and we had a lovely evening.
