on holiday and found this lovely dog friendly pub and just had the anglers burger for our dinner . one of the best burgers ever 100 % beef and a mountain of fries excellent service and clean 👌

Stopped here after a hike for a late lunch, unfortunately very disappointing. Staff were friendly and polite but food was severely lacking, honestly one of the worst burgers I've ever had - bland, unseasoned, overcooked, bacon was tough and cheese seemed to have been grilled out of existence. Menu said it came with fries but came with chunky chips, would have been fine but they were undercooked and some of the larger ones were still a bit hard in the middle. Staff didn't ask how anything was so didn't really get the chance to mention it, also having waited an hour for the meal already I wouldn't have had time to wait for any sort of resolution unfortunately. I appreciate that places can have off days and I am loathe to put down a local business, especially as I work in food service myself, but for the prices being charged I just would not recommend this place.

This place was saved from closure by the residents of Bamford and is now a cafe, Post Office and pub. Cosy, interesting and all round great place to stop after a walk in the Peak. Food and coffee ☕ were excellent. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Lovely lunch here with a beetroot farafel wrap accompanied by a fresh salad and chips. I returned later to sample the excellent stout in the evening. Sunday we dined here and I had the lamb's liver, bacon accompanied by bubble & squeak. I enjoyed both meals immensely especially the lamb's liver which was cooked to perfection. Thoroughly recommended, will return next yearOur friends had the steak here and also enjoyed it

Excellent pub, restaurant and cafe. Perfect for a rest, pint and a bit of grub after a long hike or cycle. Good selection of ales and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere and affordable prices - what more could you ask for? We were delighted to find vegan options here too - the cake was devine!
