The Bulls Head in High Peak

Booked 6 weeks in advance for lunch for visiting friends and received emailed confirmation. On the day they were closed and tried to suggest we had booked another pub with same name. then said the reservation wasn't in the book. If this is the way they do business they won't be getting mine again.

A party of 6 of us visited for food and we all agreed it was one of the best pub meals we've had in a very long time. Food portions were generous, well cooked tasted amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we would definitely return again. We can highly recommend this pub!

Friendly, cosy local pub. Canine clientele also good. Only downsides are the lack of dark beers (other than Guinness) & that kitchen closes at 7pm, but they're happy for you to order takeaway and eat it there after that.

Lovely little ale house great food great beer staff were very friendly and helpful, just what you need after a long walk . Defo recommended

Top country boozer.Stopped in here after a walk in the area, landlord was sound and really welcoming, bar staff were friendly and inside the pub is the polar opposite of the aged rustic exterior.Table near us had the Sunday roast and it looked and smelt great. Definitely worth a stop in for a pint if you're in the area.

Beautiful Sunday roast today. The cheese and onion pie was delicious too according to my mother in law! Lovely pub, roaring fire, good atmosphere 👌 What more could you say!

Went here for a post Christmas, after walk lunch. We were a party of 11 and despite the pub being shorthanded because of the dishwasher breaking down, we had a really welcoming visit. The pub is VERY dog friendly, the atmosphere was laidback and really festive with log fires and a real Christmas tree. The food was delicious and the portions perfect. Was the perfect end to our family Christmas, thank you!

Best pub I've been to in years! Sunday lunch was perfect just what I was after. Prices good. Pub dog very friendly and fluffy. Best to book a table in advance as not the largest place but plenty big enough. I will definitely be back and happy to recommend to anyone who finds themselves nearby.
