A well hidden and classy establishment offering quality fayre. The staff are friendly and attentive. Of particular delight was the cheese and ham croissant which was very generously filled. It's also the place to go for the traditional Buxton pudding if that floats your boat!

We announced ourselves and we were told to take a seat and menus would be brought to us. We sat down. It wasn't busy. There were at least 3 staff members milling around. Several members of staff walked past us. We were ignored each time. Other tables were cleared by staff that could have attended to us. After ten minutes we left, walking past a member of staff. Our departure was treated in the same way our presence. As an irrelevance. Extremely disappointed because it was one of our reasons to visit Buxton.

Visit the Shop on Friday 21st Jan. we purchased the now famous Buxton Pudding as seen on the Hairy Bikers show.On the recommendation of the Staff in there we also purchased the Vanilla custard and the Rice pudding. On Saturday 22nd Jan we tried the rice pudding which had gone off even though the use by date was 23 Jan.On Sunday at our family lunch we dished be up the Buxton Pudding served with the custard as directed by the Lady in the shop.Much to our disappointment we found the custard had also go off and as we had it served with the custard already on the pudding, that was ruined too.We rang to point this out on the following Monday and explained the situation. We left all contact details and we have contacted them numerous times, however some 6 weeks later nothing has been done.We have rung and left emails, spoke to several members of Staff one of which was Dom who we believe is one of the co founders/Owners but never seem to get answers, explanations or information regarding this issueCustomer service is non existent as far as we are concerned, the lack of communication is rude and unprofessional. The saying “don’t hold your breathe comes to mind ‘

Staff were not interested in helping. Whilst some local produce a large mark up on price. Minimal selection of bought in products/ produce. Support the independent companies directly as they are beyond uninterested.

Didn't know about this place until running into friends nearby. This pudding is absolutely amazing and knocks Bakewells into touch. Apparently featured in the Hairy Bikers programme again something informed by our friends on the day. Bought one and say no more............. delicious.Once again five stars ☆☆☆☆☆

Sold out of their signature Buxton puddings in the shop. Had individual portions for the cafe, but apparently couldn't sell these for takeaway. Such helpful customer service. Not. How a cafe in 2021 is not capable of providing a paper bag for takeaway is beyond me. It's really not that hard.

So the staff are friendly however a pudding emporium it is not. I was expecting to have lots of puddings to choose from but was sadly let down and had the option of 4 puddings. The atmosphere was dull. The young lad that served us was lovely and very polite. Make sure he gets a proper break not just five minutes to wolf down a crossiant. Over all very disappointed

Terrific deli and cafe just across from the opera house. We enjoyed our lunch in the cafe. And were able to take some delicious things home. Including the lovely Buxton pudding

Secluded cafe and shop opposite the Buxton Opera House. We visited after a recommendation from the Buxton Visitor Centre. The menu features fresh local produce, and features the original Buxton Pudding. Currently table service only due to coronavirus; the waiting staff are friendly and efficient. There is indoor and outdoor seating.
