The Seared Seabass that I had was too seared for me. There was no taste but the burn on the outside of the fish. Presentation was perfect. Compliment to the chef. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staffs. I would recommend that you eat here.

Always good beer and very accommodating of daft muddy walkers. Castleton is lovely. Would definitely recommend

This was the best visit I’ve ever had in the years I’ve been coming to you and that was al down to the waitress we had. She was simply amazing and lovely. So friendly and helpful. I hope you have her every time we visit as she was just an absolute ray of sunshine.Only thing I would like improved food wise would be the parsnips. The needed cooking a little longer

Went there for lunch on Easter Sunday . We hadn't booked but were given a table . The decor was to our taste and the food was excellent and fresh . The service was attentive and not too slow. We had a main dish and two of us had dessert ( cheesecake and trio of sorbet ). Apéritive and 1.5 pint of peroni and the overall bill came up to £81 , which I think is reasonable . O wouldn't hesitate to go there again / recommend the place .

Absolutely delicious food, very friendly staff. Been visiting this pub for 10 years, maybe more.Only downside, was the wait time for our food. We all noticed that people who arrived after were being served before us. Sadly we feel we were waiting an unreasonable amount of time for our food. The chocolate flower pot was amazing

First time visiting Castleton and glad we came across this lovely pub. Warm fires, good selection of wine and ales and the most friendliest team I’ve ever seen. My food was lovely as well. Thanks for a great afternoon we will be back.

Lovely little pub in Castleton, full of character and cosiness! We got sat by the fire with some mulled wine and it was so warming after a long day in the snow. It's a shame they weren't doing food and shut at 9 due to staff shortages as it was probably our favourite pub yet. Would certainly recommend!

We were the first customers of the day and despite the pub being short staffed, we received very friendly service from all, great food and a lovely warm welcome after a tough walk up Mam Tor (which you can see from the beautiful beer garden!) We will definitely be back!

Combination of experiences which together make this an interesting place to visit. The gardens themselves are pleasant but not spectacular. For spectacular, go to Bodnant.

Went there twice in as many days when visiting this wonderful area, great choice of meals and drinks, relaxing atmosphere and interior. They were short staffed as many other places are currently but the standard of the meals was first class. Thanks again!!
