We called in here on our way home from a day out.The place is lovely, very county & rustic, just what you would expect.The roast beef Sunday lunch was perfect, I would have this again.I ordered a ribeye steak, im a steak lover, the steak that came out wasn't a ribeye! Or it was a very poor quality one? But it was ok...

Lovely old fashioned pub but with lovely modern facilities. My husband and I ordered 2 way lamb with sauté vegetables and potatoes , best lamb we have ever tasted. Will definitely be returning for another lovely meal. Highly recommend.

Such a great stay in this beautiful pub - the staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms were amazing (almost like private cottages), and the food - both dinner and breakfast - was incredible. My husband is French and he said the food is better than most of the good restaurants in Paris (and very good value for the quality!) The location is great too - just 15 mins from the famous Snake Pass. Lovely memories of a fun family trip.

We spent 2 nights at The Lamb and had the best time. The rooms were great, the food was excellent and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Lots of walks in the surrounding area and the views are beautiful. Cannot recommend highly enough. Just go!

What an amazing pub. We did some biking around Hayfield and we have tried to get into this place a couple of times but they were full. I now can see why.The food was amazing and the beer was good too. Definitely a great place if you are close to hayfield.Definitely be back soon when I'm in the area.Thankyou for a great Xmas Eve meal.

A lovely pub, a hidden gem really. Very good menu, a little expensive but I don't mind paying for quality and the food was absolutely superb, especially the lamb Henry. Good atmosphere and very good service too.

Absolutely fabulous Sunday roast pork with fantastic crackling. The food was very good, the staff helpful and friendly, definitely will dine there again. Highly recommended!

Food was very good, although service was quite slow (it was a Friday just before Christmas, so maybe that was the reason) - maybe intermittent would describe it better. Menu choice was good, the guinea fowl was lovely, but no fish and chips! Portion sizes are generous.The alcove for a small family gathering was inspirational!

I had been here before with my family around 8 years ago. We all remember how friendly polite and attentive the staff were and how good the food was. It was a drop in whilst passing returning from holiday so we had no idea where it was. Then today i recognised it whilst passing and before i had give it any thought i was turning round and pulling into the car park. So glad i did. Staff just as good. Really good mulled wine and the food was incredible.

So superb. Everything absolutely top notch! Food exquisite, accommodation blissful, superb attention to detail, staff attitude fantastic.Stopped over on our way to pick up our new dog, and The Lamb Inn provided the perfect last night before puppy duties.Unfortunately not "dog-friendly" - well you can't have everything - but we will be back. It's a real gem!
