The Old Clubhouse in High Peak

Took 40 minutes to get 3 meals. We were told halfway through the wait that the fish was off and the order could take a little longer. 15 minutes later the manager appeared talking to another customer. I attempted to ask him how long our meal would be but he quite rudely waved his hand and saying "not now". When the meal arrived it was a disappointment. Soggy chips. Scampi with a burnt lemon. Small portions. We had been here pre lockdown and it was fine. We shall not be going again. There are numerous much better places to eat in Buxton.

On our week's stay in Buxton, We booked here for a Sunday roast, Asked for a table to watch the football and was given a table on the restaurant side which was perfect, Didn't have to wait long for the food which was lovely, Found the staff very pleasant and would return here again when in the area.

Lovely place. Friendly staff. Decent food (wish I had one of the pies as they looked lush). Pool table upstairs. Sports screens. Nice atmosphere.

Wow, stumbled across this place after visiting Buxton to measure up a balustrade for a customer. Really glad I did the food was amazing, I had the salt beef cheese burger quite possibly best I’ve had with service to suit! Definitely recommend

Arrived to try out ‘dog friendly’ advertising. Arrived 7:30pm. Ambiance good. Bar staff very friendly. Settled dog under table in bar area then went to order - no food orders after 7:30 - even though kitchens were clearly still open.

This seems a pleasant place if you were just going for a drink as it's a nice old building with a pleasant interior. Trouble is we went to eat and the food sounded nice on the menu but was pretty poor. My husband ordered a medium rare steak which was overdone. My salmon and prawns was ok but I like crisy skin. Would go again for a drink but not food.

Nice pub and good atmosphere. Lost my silver signet ring here. Hoping someone hands it in! Very busy venue and staff members where friendly will definitely be visiting again next time we are in the area

5 star all the way... Management perfect and chat to you... Bar staff amazing and will even bring your Guinness to you at the table... Not had the food but everything else is perfect.. great atmosphere... Great place to be and well run.. 👍

Cosy pub in Buxton, good for a pint, food and a game of pool. Staff were attentive and lovely! Would definitely go back again.

Busy Greene King pub situated across from Buxton Opera House. Great spot to watch the sport or grab a pre-show drink. Staff are always friendly and the food is well cooked and presented. Use the app to order from your table when the bar gets busy.
