The Sycamore Inn in High Peak

Friendly helpful staff, food was good and good value. Popular with families for dining, so may not be as quiet as other pubs. Would eat there again.

Lovely decor made you feel welcome as soon as you walked in. Staff very attentive, Food was wonderful lamb cooked to perfection with real pan roast gravy. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

Good efficient service from the staff but afraid that the food is below par and expensive for what you getHaving eaten here many times in the past I think things have gone somewhat downhill which is a shame given that it used to be a decent pub that sold decent foodI hate giving bad reviews of places but sadly it needed to be said

Just got back today from our stay here, all i can say was loved it. Great location for waking the room we stayed in was lovely and clean spacious aswell we have 2 small dogs with us plenty of room.... Its only an hours drive from us we randomly stay at places we like the look of around the peak district for little 2 night trips away and this is definitely one of the better ones we've stayed at. Food was impeccable, the staff i encountered were helpful friendly and very polite especially the 2 young female managers. We'll definitely be back in the near future

Good food at reasonable prices with good options for vegans in the family. Staff very pleasant and helpful Liked the chunky chips with the cheese and onion flan and the cheesecake was delectable

Staff were very attentive, good was really good too, gave 4 stars not 5 because they had run out of a few options but still plenty to choose from, wouldn't stop me going back again.

We went for 1 night to get away from the norm and a good walk in the Peak District. Lovely Inn Lovely Staff and Owners was made welcome by the locals. The food was excellent I had the Patte for starter with the Steak n Ale pie my husband had the black pudding for starters followed by the Lamb and Dafinoise we were stuffed. And breakfast was perfect. Would go back again.

We decided to stay at The Sycamore Inn on the spur of the moment. It's in a great location for walking in the area. The Landlady and Landlord are very friendly, and their staff are helpful, friendly and attentive too. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The food was good. And there is a delightful snug where you can sit in front of their open fire.
