Had the mixed grill for dinner, i eat this at most spoons I go too around the country...meat was dry, peas weren't too exciting either. Brilliant staff tho, all happy and helpful. Nice pub in a nice setting.

Been here twice, first experience was fine.. but second one today, mistreated by a bar staff named Sarah. Her colleague apologised on her behalf and I understand every bar has their protocols but her attitude towards our group was very cold and discriminating. I wish I had more time so I could flag this up with the manager but unfortunately I was only here for less than 5 minutes. I know everyone has their bad days but I really hope you don’t let this affect your treatment of customers. I’m not expecting a 5star service but just being spoken to nicely WITHOUT discrimination would be a great start. All the best.

I love this weather spoons! Easily one of the best I have been too, the food is always perfect the staff are kind and talkative it’s an all around great place to go! Although there are a few regular customers that ruin the experience, a small tattooed girl with pink hair and her two friends I once saw one of them eat a magazine! They’re loud disrespectful and messy, pouring drinks on floor and tables, throwing menus and other things around the building.Like I said before it’s a wonderful place, with wonderful food but some things are just out of the staffs hands.

Buxton Spoons; or as I like to call it Old Reliable. It’s cheap as chips for excellent food and not to mention great alcoholic beverages. The atmosphere is always so cheerful and the staff are so lovely and helpful. I don’t know where I’d be without this Spoons honestly. However, my lack of a 5 star review is due to some regular customers that I see here. This is out of the staffs hands, I understand but…their sickly image cannot go without being envisioned when I think of Buxton Spoons. It is a group of rowdy youngsters who are always screaming and shouting. They are always throwing drinks and doing silly things like once I saw them ‘eating’ magazines. Never fail to make me regret my night out at Spoons.

Visited The Wye Bridge House on 31st October. Myself and friends was visitings Buxton so we decided to have our lunch here. This spoons has a nice convivial atmosphere and the staff are very attentive and friendly. Service was good and our orders arrived within 13 minutes of ordering. I was slightly disappointed with an element of the burgers we ordered. The tomato 🍅 on the burgers was the part of a tomato 🍅that you'd throw away. I was shocked to see that they would actually put that on our burgers. The burgers was ok though usually spoons quality cheap and cheerful food. Apart from the tomato 🍅incident I'd recommend this pub as a place to stop off if you fancy a meal or drinks. There is a car park located close by and its not far from the main shopping areas of Buxton.
