Chris's Fish & Chips in Hinckley and Bosworth

They think that serving a burnt fishcake is good for business. They've tried to scrap the burn off. Wish I could take a picture and put it on here

We visited Chris's Fish and Chips 30 April 2022.We chose this venue thinking that anyone who has their name in the business title must be good.Indeed the reviews are good.We ordered cod and chips twice with a single curry sauce.The batter for the cod was soggy. Really awful. The chips were worse. We can only describe them as the day before leftovers warmed up.If we had not left and travelled some distance to our hotel we would have taken them back.One good point being the curry sauce.A severely disappointing experience never to be repeated .

Poor quality dry fish on my last visit. Normally a tip top plaice ....been left in 5he hot counter for far too long. Spioled my tea. Spoiled my evening. Was very unhappy around to be quite honest. Probably not return and choose another fish shop as there are loads in this area strathmoore road or rugby road to visit.

Have visited Chris’s this evening for the first time in a while but won’t be going back.The haddock was only luke warm, with soggy batter and the chips weren’t great either, with some not fully cooked.At over £9 for a haddock and chips, there should be no question about the quality of the food.Instead very disappointing, maybe they’ve got complacent!

Nice place pleasant staff. Chips are always rushed under cooked.

The lad who served me got the order wrong then charged me more once he amended my order then I questioned how much it came too then the owner/man in charge was unhelpful & rude. £14 for 2x chips curry sauce & sausage in batter Iwa

Paid 19.20 for two donna kebabs and chips.A lot of noise and shouting with young kids not knowing what they are doing, consequently creating confusion and getting things wrong.Fundamentally poor organisation and management.

Visited the shop on Wednesday evening.Chris have a good menu.lots to choose from.Our family wanted different things .We we’re all very disappointed with our orders.The chips were very very greasy.The pastie had all the meat comming out of the pasty.some of the chips were hard.so disappointed as we have used Chris chips in barwell which was very good.This isn’t the first time we have been disappointed with this chip shop .Have to say will not use it again

Just visited this chippy today with my mate ordered kebab mate and chips in a batch.Never again it was bad and the bloke that served us was not very nice I wish I could give one star .

Usually find this chip shop great however, when visiting on Friday 16/07/21 at 5 pm bought two small fish and chips. When we arrived home 5 minutes later found the fish so small you could not get 2 bites of it - the fish and chips were nearly cold. The meals ended up in the dustbinReally disappointed, as we always call there at least once a month. Has this establishment changed ownership as we have never had a bad meal before? We
