Unpretentious hangout for British pub grub like burgers & steaks, plus a pool table & sports on TV.

A decent "New estate" pub. It was good and clean and seemed popular when I went in one lunchtime. I didn't eat, but plenty of people were. I see this as as a good sign as well as my pint of real ale was very good indeed š š š.It has a good outside area which nearly circled the pub. There is building work going on nearby but it didn't bother me.So will I go in again ? Definitely š

Amazing welcoming staff was seated as soon as we arrived to a very clean table, and was over the moon with the food and at such a reasonable price. Great atmosphere and felt looked after when a staff member came and asked how our food was. Enjoyed our time at such a well organised and friendly pub will be returning in the near future!

Not a great experience, food was luke warm to cold, one of the meals was undercooked and part raw (sent back). Sunday roasts were part warm and parts cold which made for the taste of it to be disappointing. Customers at the bar were spoken to very abruptly by the staff and was general chaos (visited on a Sunday but still not very busy when we arrived). Finally children's food was served last and after all the adults which made for uncomfortable experience waiting on their food and trying to eat ours (food ordered was simpler than the adults so bit confused what took so long).

Pity I cannot select one star. I was advised some time ago never to go here, I should have listened. I have just had the worst experience, in a dining establishment, in my 53 years of my life. Filthy tables upon arrival. Childrenās pasta came out after an unacceptable 65 minutes and their chips (after complaining four times) arrived 25 minutes later. Adult main courses started arriving after 90 minutes (after more complaints) at which point we were told the roast beef dinners, which had been ordered over an hour and a half earlier, couldnāt be supplied as they had now ran out of beef!! Overall a horrific experience which was a meal out for my daughterās birthday. Please avoid this establishment at all costs!

Only popped in for a quick rest on a long journey. The bar lady was enthusiastic and happy. I always have alcohol free and a decent range. Nothing on tap but that's changing slowly in most places.

Very nice good food good customer service. The food we had was good except the steak had to go back it was very rubbery and not very nice, so sent it back and got something else instead. This location has good parking but can get very busy so worth a phone call before heading out.Strangely we noticed a few price difference as I thought there would be sane through the whole chain, but it didnāt break the back so all good.

Wow, seems to have gone downhill since pre-pandemic, used to be busy, turn up get a table anytime, now there are cards on tables saying they are booked but no one sitting on them, still empty when we left. No one to sit us down despite sign saying wait till you are seated, then we had to find our own booked table. No colouring stuff for the kids, staff prefer stocking the bar rather than serve you, just a really poor atmosphere and unfriendly staff. Not a place we'll be rushing back to. Maybe new management will turn it around to the great family place it used to be.

Update: 5* last few visits the food has been amazing, well presented, hot and well cooked.New menu at the Hansom cab, some great vegetarian additions. The menu won't set the world alight nevertheless it does offer excellent value for money. Family oriented definitely, activities, play area and kid friendly coin operated machines. Gets very busy, you can book online.

Brought my son for his first steak, after already asking for it to be a little bit more cooked they returned it still hanging onto life while my son looked like the little speccy kid from āThe little vampireā .

Visited here today. Food was really nice. However service was absolutely atrocious. Had ordered desserts with the mains and paid up front including a tip. Had our mains fairly quickly but after 20mins of us finishing our mains no one had collected the dirty plates. Also one minor thing I was asked if I would like a nan bread with my chicken tikka part of the 2 for 10 menu. On the bill I had been charged an extra £1.60 just for the nan bread. I wasn't informed there was an extra charge just for nan bread, which in my opinion should be part of a chicken tikka dish.My wife had to ask at the bar for our desserts to be brought out then that member of staff went home. We had to stop another member of staff 5 mins later. Finally got the desserts. You are allowed an hour and a half time slot of which 25mins we spent waiting for our pudding. If we had had a starter probably would have run out of time. The restaurant was extremely quiet but even so the service was still very poor. We won't be coming back here.
