Kam Ying Cantonese Takeaway in Hinckley and Bosworth

Terrible customer service really letting the place down. After getting my order wrong and leaving out an item I rang up and was disgusted how I was spoken to. The male on the end of the phone was very rude and unhelpful, instead of offering to deliver the missing item or refund it I was told ‘I do not wish to help you as it was a Deliveroo issue’ and he then hung up on me. They were the ones that did not send the sauce I ordered. Not Deliveroo. After calling back and asking to speak to the manager/owner he simply said he was the manager/owner ( to which again is not true as I know them well in there ) and again hung up on me. Could have been easily resolved by sending out my missing sauce. Sadly in turn it meant the whole meal was entirely ruined. Such a shame. The rice was completely over cooked and dry, without the sauce especially, and the chips were cold. I shall not be returning and advise against the food, it’s not what it used to be. They have really let the place go

Sadly I have to give 1 star!!! Placed delivery and 30 mins late, called and told with driver, 20 mins late, called back and no order placed yet money taken then hung up on. Appalling service and can’t comment on food as never had it !! Avoid

An excellent takeaway. It was so busy, it is clearly well known! The house special fried rice was very fresh. I will definitely use again. What a delight.

Large menu, good selection of popular dishes available for delivery or collection. Easy payment either via website or cash on delivery. Deliveries are usually on time or slightly early.

1 rice and 1 bag of chips missing tonight. Called 30 times, no answer. Absolutely terrible first time experience. Will not use these again!!!!

After three years we've never had a bad experience here. Average prices but absolutely top quality food. Everything is fresh as you can get - no manky onions or peppers you'd get from some takeaways, but fresh broccoli, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, the lot, all delicious.

Sooo nice! Fast friendly delivery. The meal wasn't full of grease and tasted lovely. Portions are perfect. Had to call to ask something and they sorted stuff right away.Would defo try more from here.

Absolutely gorgeous food... Just a shame the service was awful at best!We called around 5pm for a 7pm collection and then had the joy of waiting an extra 50(!) minutes in the shop... During which there was never less than 8-9 people (11 at one point) in the small waiting area as no staff on the door monitoring capacity. Good job there isn't a global pandemic else that would have been foolhardy!I witnessed countless cash transactions with no washing of hands between customers. Only half the kitchen staff wore masks and only half of them wasn't wearing them around their chin.Call me paranoid but I work in a takeaway myself and fully understand how stressful it can be... But there's absolutely no excuse for such minimal effort during the current conditions.Such a shame as I know this is (was?) the most popular place in Hinckley for a good Chinese takeaway...
