Great fish n chips

Fish piece had batter that was really tough; as if it had been under heat lamp for a long time. The pies and sausage also ordered were good. Service was also good.

Another excellent meal! Worth queuing for. Best fish and chips for miles around.

Hi after waiting for Markfield fish bar to reopen it was great to have proper fish & chips its only 1 in 1 out so some times may have to wait only 4 people in front of me only took about 10 minutes but worth the wait they were red hot i really enjoyed them would recommend if passing by you wouldn't be disappointing 😀

I went there with my 94 year old son and bought chips. I had sausage and chips. He was jealous so i gave my son my big juicy sausage. He has a smile on his face and mayo covered the inside of his mouth. My chips had a toenail clipping in it which for me is good but for others they may not like it. This gave me a toenail addiction 2 years ago and i couldnt get enough of them. I would roam the streets asking for spare toenail clippings. If people said they didnt i would kidnap them and put them in my basement and pull there toenails off and eat them infront of them. Next came their fingers which i bit clean off. This would usually make them throw up which i kept in a bucket for when i was thirsty. I served 420 in prison when i got found out. I soon became the leader of the prison after eating everyones toes in their sleep. After i was let out i went back to markfield fish bar and reminisce on the good times. This place is a true spectacle and a real eye opener

We moved to Markfield from Uppingham Road area of Leicester. There was a well known chippy on the corner of Turner Road that everyone seemed to remark how great the chips were and the size of a fish resemble a shark. Well whatcha know that owner took over the markfield chippy.... Best chippy by far!!

Oh my God what a find !! Was passing by m1 boy wanted chips, stopped off here.The bloke couldn’t be more helpful if he tried, shared a portion of chips for my little ones too.The fish we had was the bestest tasting fish for many years.You really have to try this place out. WellDone mate and your good work has got you a genuine 5 stars 🌟

Great village chippy, food always fresh. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and service is always good. The shop is always very clean and tidy 5 star hyigene rating. Can get a little busy at times but to be expected at peak times. Would recommend to anyone.
