Since taking over as general manager here at the old thatched inn, last October 2020, we have had a challenging time, what with the six month shutdown period and then the tight restrictions from April and not forgetting the awful weather for a few weeks. But never the less, we have managed to come through it and the local clientele, and customers from near and far have been supportive and are now venturing back out and joining us here at The Old Thatch. With an excellent menu on offer and an array of award winning beers and lagers to suit all tastes, why not join us and come see for yourself. The pub is set in the heart of the stunning National Forest with some beautiful areas of natural beauty and relaxing places to visit, like the very close to Bradgate Park.Great place to stop over if you are on a long journey with a motorhome as well. Just a good old fashioned village pub, friendly staff and locals. Always made to feel welcome with the dog. Only complaint is it's 3 miles away, but if I walk there I've earned a drink or three.
