Silchar in Hinckley and Bosworth

Have been here twice. Food was good. Service although friendly was inconsistent. The first time we waited for about an hour for our order and received a part of someone else’s order. The prawn tandoori was delicious - would recommend. You can BYOB.

We had two meals here, but there were some issues. Firstly the drinks menu is extortionate, over £6 for a large sparkling water is not ok. We had a long wait for our food (well over 45 mins). I know restaurants do take-away as well but they should prioritise their dining in customers. The service is mainly by rather sulky young men who don’t talk much and never smile. The food was nice if not a little fatty. The tandoori prawns were a highlight for us.

First off the staff are friendly and helpful. Downside is whilst they don't have a licence for alcohol they certainly know how to charge for lemonade, 4.5 pints for £25, rather excessive. The main courses we felt they were overpriced for the quality of the food, I have had better. Naan bread was nice. But it's all according to personal taste, I'm sure others would enjoy it. Not the best restaurant in the area IMO..

Came in last night with my 4 brothersI was really amazed of the food the quality was top notch I think it's the best I ever ate to be honest, I would highly recommend this place to everyone, the gent that was there he was so lovely, really felt welcomedWill deffo be coming back

The Indian food I shared in the company of a group of friends.This place gets a platinum service rating both for service and quality of food.Never have I tasted a curry like the one I ate here.Down side only that they don't have a license , so take your own Prosecco or beer.Would definately recommend this eatery to anyone.

I normally never write reviews and it would be a crime if I did the same after dining at Silchar. The food was spot on, Decor fantastic and the staff were extremely hospitable.In the future I can easily foresee myself going again and would recommend anyone else to go if they're planning for a night out.

Went here when we were away for our 30th anniversary. Popped in had a lovely welcome and food was lovely. Friendly attentive staff couldn't fault it. Take your own drinks if you'd like alcohol / beer

Went for the first time with great friends last night and had a wonderful evening. The food was amazing and the whole place has been decorated brilliantly. The staff were friendly and funny. Definitely recommend and we will be returning soon.

Really good food, our starters were huge! Super tasty. Staff also good. One star knocked off because it was very loud in there. Very! There are no table cloths, no carpet and very little else to absorb noise, so the noise of everyone else is very loud. Shame.
