Lovely pub, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, the only negative thing I would say is the bar staff definitely need to go on a training course on how to pull Guinness! being a huge Guinness fan and knowing there is an art to keeping and pulling Guinness, it is really important for Guinness lovers to want coming back for more, on 2 occasions by 2 different bar men I caught them trying to pull a pint all in one go 😱 which makes the Guinness go flat, it should have a creamy head that sticks to the glass the whole way down as you drink it, so please educate yourself on this and it will definitely be 5 stars from me.

Food was average in terms of taste. Fancy names on the menu, but the taste doesn't match. My advice, for what it's worth, cook the simple food well. Very disappointing.

Fabulous Christmas meal ,from start to finish.so full up after the Christmas pudding. Lovely warm atmosphere, staff very attentive.we will be going again .

Had the best roast lamb dinner here today. Fabulous, friendly staff. All 14 of us were made to feel so welcome including 3 generations and 3 dogs. We will definitely go back.

The food is consistently good. Service is always good. Sunday lunch is lovely. Sometimes a bit noisy but we had the option to eat in the bar area instead, where it was a quieter. Looking forward to going again soon.

Only popped in for a drink and ended up staying for lunch. Such a welcoming and pleasant place. Was busy in the restaurant but didn't have to wait too long for food (which was delicious and very reasonably priced) ... Staff were attentive and helpful but not intrusive. Definitely recommend :-)

Lovely pub, unfortunately I couldn't try their ales as I was driving but it's a CAMRA Good Beer Guide pub so the beer should be good. The food was absolutely delicious, we both had the Coldwell Chicken, great service too, definitely stop here again when we're travelling north.

First time visiting and we will definitely be coming again! Having a nut allergy makes it really hard and often causes stress when it comes to eating out. On being seated, I made the lovely waitress aware of my allergies, immediately she checked in the kitchen and came back to me with the allergy advice. Nothing was problem! 100% reccomend

Can't fault the food or staff. Rang and booked as wanted a 'pod'. Fabulous food, I had the tapas which is three little dishes of your choice but all the food looked lovely. Staff were great, attentive and with personalities 👍 hottest day of the year and we were in a greenhouse! At least they did provide us with some shade. Highly recommended what ever the weather
