The Tamarind in Hinckley and Bosworth

The food was amazing, good quality meats. Sizzler, Fried fish, butter chicken lamb all cooked really well. Naan was nice, all was quite spicy but really good.Quite small, need to book ahead as seems to be packed. Only minus was the service, it wasn't the worst I've had but definitely not great.Still will definitely go again and enjoy this place more often.

Always book! This place is thriving and has the most amazing atmosphere. Staff are well presented and polite although there is the occasional language/translation barrier with one or two younger members. Drinks are well priced and the food is delicious!

Most probably the worst Indian/Punjabi restaurant in Leicester. Poor service & wait times for a very small venue.Incorrectly priced drinks and insisted they were correct, wouldn't even waste my time arguing with them, they probably needed the funds.Definitely a dozen alternatives within a 10minute drive around Leicester that is worth going to over this mediocre restaurant.

We went quite late - around 8.30pm - on a Thursday night. Service was great, the food was delicious - really could not fault the evening. Will definitely be returning!

Walked into a 95% empty restaurant at 5.30 pm on a Saturday and asked for a table for two. After some deliberation he offered us a terrible table for an hour. Went to Kayal instead, had a great meal and when we walked past again an hour and a half later the taj was still over half empty. Not surprised. No idea what the food is like but we won’t bother again.

Why have you taken £60 of our money, two hours late and not answered the phone.very, very frustrated by the service after getting such glowing reviews. Yes it's NYE, but don't take an order if you can't deliver the promise. It's over 2hrs late and we are still waiting.

An absolute amazing place that has brought the curry back to Leicester. What can I not say about this place.As soon as you walk in the atmosphere of the place is vibrant and buzzing. The staff are attentive and management are just amazing. This truly feels like home.The amazing food smell hits you the food is just wow. The sizzlers are amazing, the flavour is awesome, the meat is tender the naans are soft but crispy.We came here as a 6 and it’s the first time I’m back in Leicester after a year and living in Leicester my whole life eating are various curry houses across the UK and Leicester all my years I have never had an evening like this.If I could give ten stars for last night I would:)

What can I say these guys can cook. I had a takeaway once I loved it so I had to go visit place. Very tasty really enjoyed the food and the staff are spot on friendly and welcoming.

Amazing food and good service.Been several times since the refurbish, never disappointed. Food gets better and better.Love the grills and the curries.Very hard to find something in the midlands this good.

Came here to eat on the euro cup final, bad result but good atmosphere and very good food! Enjoyed it from the beginning, great starters, baby chicken, regular sizzler and veg sizzler all hit the spot. We had garlic chilli lamb, butter chicken, planner and seabass curry for mains. Again all very good. My new favourite for Indian in Leicester! They need to do something about the smoke/sizzler smell coming from the kitch though, the whole place was coughing at one point because of it, need to open the windows!
