Pleasant place friendly helpful staff and cheap meals

Shame they don't have ordinary sandwiches any more. Toasties & paninis are not suitable for everyone!

Nice menu, hot food cooked to order so served to you hot, reasonable prices, staff on till cheery, would visit again, enjoyed a tasty lasagne today which was served piping hot, lovely piping hot freshly cooked scampi and chips I enjoyed today , service excellent

It was better when run by Asda themselves.

Visited 10.50am Sunday morning. Place extremely busy. Was served by Kirsty. She was delightful and deserves a special mention. Incredibly busy, on her own and like man in circus, poor girl, was trying to keep all the plates spinning. A long queue was forming behind us, many of the cafe tables were already occupied, there was someone in front of us who had ordered 2 cooked breakfasts. She was flippin eggs loading plates, keeping eye on chops cooking for dinners, making toast and drinks and also taking payments. She did all this with friendly banter and a lovely smile. Done Kirsty. She's a credit to the company!

A small range of sandwiches, salads and wrapped biscuits accompany an equally limited hot food menu. They had stopped serving hot meals a full 90 minutes before store closing time when I visited so I had to make do with a zapped meatball wrap which was very bland and stodgy. The drinks are all self service, dispensed remotely from the servery. The cafe is barren and soulless and I ate to the accompaniment of security alarms, and a distant store soundtrack that was loud enough to be irritating but not loud enough to be able to enjoy the music or hear the announcements. The staff were friendly and attentive, but other than that, just average.

nice cafe set to the front of store meals cooked to order drinks are by machine at the condiments table but can be ordered at the till for decaf made to order. a selection of cold snacks, toasty sandwiches , pannines, crisps, cakes and desserts are available at the entrance in to the till .very helpful and friendly staff run the department.
