Sad to say that this place has really declined since the new ownership took over. I took a friend here not long ago after having spent many years visiting enjoying great meals on birthdays etc but this time we were just looking for somewhere to grab a meal.Menu on the outside is out of date. Prices are all slightly more than what is on the actual menu's inside (For example egg fried rice is listed on the outside menu as £4 but inside £4.20). Outside menu still lists sizzling beef dishes and these are not on the menu inside. Presumably new chef can't cook these.Interior decor while fantastic is unchanged however one of the nicer sitting areas (Just to the right as you walk up the stairs) is no longer in use, presumably due to low customer numbers in the pandemic but is clearly stuffed with takeaway boxes for uber eats/deliveroo etc orders. Shame because it was a nice area to sit.Despite having been in new ownership for some time many staff are clearly still new/inexperienced. As others have said no Chinese people in sight which necessarily should not be a bad sign but didn't exactly fill me with confidence. The night we went it was 2 English women serving. One was obviously new. We were given beer with no glasses (had to ask) then when the food was served a fork and spoon no knife (also had to ask).Food was okay, but nothing special. For two people the entire thing came to around £40 which was expensive in my opinion. This consisted of 1 main dish each, 1 bowl of rice each and 1 beer each. Food felt highly overpriced for what it is. If it had been around £25-30 I would have rated higher.Unfortunately will not be back unless management does some serious work to bring it back up to the standards of the previous owners or it changes hands again to someone entirely new. 3/5 stars as the food was reasonably nice but overpriced food & poor service knocks two off. Not sure whether the new owners are trying or not but after a year or more of new ownership I'd expect better. Not sure this place will be open much longer.

Terrible table service. We waited 20 minutes for the drinks, when the waitress served the drinks she apologized for the delay and said she had been busy even though the restaurant was half empty. The waitress vertically through the plates and dishes at us. She didn't replace the cutlery after the first course. Not sure if there has been a change of owners but there the formality has gone and is now replaced with, what seems like a dum down version of a restaurant. Food was ok but not hot. No food warmer, which I think you need when you have 5 separate dishes.

I used to love the food in this restaurant but today i was so dessapointed,i ordered my usual pad thay and some other food, the food tasted different, they mistaken the dishes i ordered too, i asked for singapore rice noodles but they served some very (HOOOOOT) spicy rice with something in🤔,i asked no sauce and no chilli for the pad thay but surprise was a lot of chilli(i.m alergic to spicy food) and i told them but seems customers are no priority for the new chef,as this restaurant have a new chef, that what the girl from reception said.I wish the old chef to come back as his food was real taste of Asia.

Great food, being twice now. I have had a takeaway from here as well. Atmosphere is good but has been very quiet, maybe its the time of year, I don't know. I would happily recommend Lee Garden to anyone who likes Chinese food.

Myself and my family (3 adults to small chilren) went out for a meal but was very disaappointed. The place was freezing cold and when the food arrived it take long for the food to be cold. Having spent over 100 i would have expected better. There was a door open that was obviously leading to the outside that made the place colder. We also had to sit and eat in our coats so not the experience i would have expected. The plates could gave done with being warmed up to. I think we would have been better with a takeaway. Also wasnt even offered a glass with a can of coke. I can honestly say i have had a better experience in the local cafe for half the price.

Lee Garden was always the go to restaurant for a nice Chinese meal... However... In my opinion (after two visits) the service is very poor and food was not only awful but cold.Gone are the days when it was a friendly family run place and a pleasant place to eat😔

Very nice food, beef satay with egg fried rice, good service and helpful waitresses, good price four people for £80 starters, main and drinks ****

Been dining (in the restaurant and also take away) with Lee Garden now for 20 years. Always good and previously not one complaint. Had a take away on Friday night and the duck was the poorest effort I have ever seen. No duck, just skin and bone. Called to say how poor the duck was and was told that I could get a 10% discount on next order. Said I didn’t want a discount, just wanted them to know that I’ve always had good meals there but that this was really poor and so they just needed to sort it out. Was then told that the management had changed hands and that she would get someone to call me back the next day to resolve. Didn’t get a call and so decided to post here. They have obviously decided to choose cheaper ingredients to save money... and don't value customer service any more. Such a shame.

Popped here for lunch from the all you can eat menu and wasn't sure what to expect but very much to my surprise there was a good selection of food, the selection wasn't as big as you get in other places but the selection is fair for only £8 and the food is a very high quality I would recommend this place and will be back
