Peacock was a great place to eat and have a drink. What with the new refurbished look it's looking better. Comfortable atmosphere. The meal my daughter and I had was very nice.I was sitting next to some people on the next table. And looked over . To what they had ordered and it was fish and chip. And I thought ow that looks nice. I will order that. When it came it was delicious. I really enjoyed my meal. And the experience ..

Had two meals here which were both good. Staff are friendly and the prices were normal. As I was driving I only drank coffee, which meant this doubled for me as a coffee shop. There is an enclosed patio/smoking area to the rear and wheelchair access, but I did notice steps to the rear, so I don't know how you could get out there. Toilets were clean as was the whole establishment. There was also 2 large TV screens and a smaller one with trailers showing live sporting events coverage upcoming. There was also different chairs including high and low benches so you socialise, eat ot drink how you liked.

Excellent quality of food and service . Very reasonably priced too. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone and certainly be going back

Had a great experience here a few times and today again was no exception. I ordered a steak and although the first one was tough it was clearly the cut of meat not the chef. I was offered a new one that came completely redone all the meal, Aaron has great customer service skills and didn’t make me feel like a pain for the issue. A side of onion rings and a drink on the house too for the situation, which were greatly appreciated. Staff are very kind and understanding. I came with my 3 year old who loved his food too.Highly recommend for a meal in a lovely environment with good friendly staff.

Came in today and was astounded by the change to the Peacock. It has always been a fantastic pub but now it is gorgeous. The food was delicious and drinks are set at a great price. Love this pub and highly recommend.

Came in to pub twice and was met with a disgusting smell at the bar was unsure if it was a staff member. This guy I think it was Aaron spoke to me and the smell from his breath was bad. You could tell he is not a clean person. I was waiting for my food and because of this I was about to cancel my order. Second time I went in for a family dinner with kids. We decided to give a second chance. Aaron was there again. Smelly with dirty nails. Don’t get me wrong, this guy looked smart, well dressed but by the smell you can tell he’s not best friend with shower and personal hygiene. It’s a shame someone like this works with customers and food could be very off putting.Management should have a look at this and get this sorted . Won’t go back there again

Lovely vegan lunch in the newly refurbished pub. Food was great. Decor looked pretty good throughout too..

First visit to ‘The peacock’ for a while just after being refurbishment to a high standard. I’m pleased to report the food kept the standards up also. (I can recommend the sausage n mash!) The cherry on the top was the lovely & bubbly Sam who could not do enough to help. I will be coming back for sure. Keep up the good work!!

Really poor quality food.. Fish chewey, everything was over fried. Chips dry and not enjoyable to eat. Tastes like frozen food over fried or even refried and very greasy . Waited 40mins service poor also. Mash potato was good, Great refurbishment unfortunately food quality let it down
