Thai Garden in Kettering

My family has been eating at this restaurant for over twenty years. We have celebrate many events, and come to know the current manager and this wife very well.It's a great environment, lovely fresh food and become a second home to us.We hope it says the same place we know and love after the current manager retires.Thank you for all the amazing food, times and experience.10/10.

The food was delicious but this is not a restaurant for families with children. We took our 2 children (3 years old and 1 year old) for a lunch meal and were made to feel really unwelcome mostly by some of the other diners but also by staff. We have been there before in adult only parties and everything was fine so perhaps they just need to clarify that they don’t want children visiting. My children sat in their seats the entire time and did make a normal level of noise for children (just chatting to us mostly) but were in no way badly behaved or disruptive. Despite this the staff were quite rude to our children rather than speaking to us about any concerns so we ended up cutting our meal short and leaving as we were all upset. Was a shame as the food is lovely.

This is anything but Thai. It is British Chinese through and through and not a great Chinese at that.If you enjoy a good Thai, this is not it... If you like British Chinese. Give it a go.

We've given this restaurant a few chances but disappointing every time unfortunately. High prices for average CHINESE food- definitely not Thai sadly. We were spoilt with incredible authentic thai food for years before we moved, so this added to the disappointment. They charged us an extra £12 for three extra tiny sauces (maximum of a table spoon of each!) We so wanted to love this place as live just around the corner but we much prefer our takeaway chinese to the food here I'm afraid.

Delicious food, welcoming staff just an amazing place !!!! Cannot recommend them enough!!!!

My family of four, booked a table for the Saturday evening of 29/01/22. We were celebrating a special occasion. The establishment know us very well as we have been going there for around 20 years for takeaways and family meals. For takeaways we spend an average of £75 and for meals around the £95. When we arrived on the Saturday we were informed that they were overbooked and we would have to wait for over an hour, there was no real apology or explanation, just excuses which changed depending on who we spoke to. We asked for complementary drinks whilst we contemplated either to wait, or order a takeaway. The manager Joanne was extremely reluctant to agree to offer us a drink and said that we could not have anything expensive; which would never have been our intention. They reluctantly provided drinks. We then ordered a takeaway which came to £68 and I happen to ask if we could have a small discount to compensate for our disrupted evening. I have never witnesses such rudeness and unprofessional behaviour from Joanne, who categorically said 'no, you have already had a complementary drink, so we cannot offer you that'. Despite me reminding he, that we had been loyal customers for around 20 years, this had no impact at all. We were so shocked at this reaction, we told them that we will never eat there again. Having now read other customer feedback I can now see how greedy this restaurant is. I was only really looking for a small goodwill gesture, perhaps only £10 off , but they lost £58. They do not value their loyal customers, and this is so disappointing.

Great customer service.The waiter looked after us. Separating the meat and veggie dishes.They recommended food options to us and it was extremely tasty. Try the salt and pepper beancurd.Will come back here again.

A high quality meal, that comes with a somewhat high price. If you want a tasty meal as a special occasion, this is your place. (You need to book)If your expectation is a quick cheap bite to eat, you are going to be disappointed.Pleasant staff, clean, free WiFi, overall its a very nice place to eat, but like many places these days the drinks bill often equals the food bill...

Absolutely fantabulous! Great service tasty food. I and my friends loved every minute of this experience. The team were friendly and polite, the food was tasty and fast but not too fast! The restaurant is elegant smart and friendly. The food was exceptional and great price for the quantity and quality. Well done

Made to wait for 2nd sitting, and not all courses correct - we arrived at 8.15 as per instruction, as Thai Garden couldn't fit our party of four in earlier. Fair enough, but we didn't actually get to sit down until 8.40! It would have been nice to sit down on the settees provided, but a large party was already sat there. We were obliged to stand near the front door/bar getting in everyone's way, and generally feeling uncomfortable and self-conscious.The staff, although very pleasant were very busy and took some minutes to take our drinks order even though we were standing at the bar.Once sat, crackers and sauce were quickly served, followed by drinks, and our orders were taken. Starters were all good, but the mains not so much - one diner received the wrong rice, and another was served something very nice but it didn't really match the menu description.Afters and coffees were served in short order, and we quickly had the bill when requested. The bill wasn't cheap; virtually no change form £160 and at least one of us had no drinks to speak of.This diner was left feeling disappointed with the experience. Although not a particular fan of Thai cuisine this diner was prepared to give Thai Garden a fair shot - Thai Garden missed the target by a margin. Sorry, this diner cannot recommend this establishment.
