Me and my sister popped into the tearoom on Wednesday and what an experience! It’s so lovely and clean and all the staff are so welcoming. We had tea and fresh homemade scones and wow they did not disappoint. The tea is made with fresh tea leaves and you get a pot with little China cup and saucer. Really worth the visit!

An amazing place to visit, tucked away behind the library but well signposted from the main road this is a fascinating and well portrayed world war 2 tea room with period furniture and accessories that absolutely suit each other to make this a fabulous and must see venue for any ww2 enthusiast. The food and service were superb as well, the owners are lovely and happy to chat about their business with interested parties. It is both popular with locals and travellers from out of town due to its eclectic charm and great food and service. We certainly would recommend it and will most definitely be visiting again.

I had not been to The Blitz for many months. I decided to take a very good friend, Reverend Canon John Koenig, former parish priest at Saint Edward's Church, London Road, Kettering. Walking towards it I anticipated that it might be under new ownership, and that it might have been refurbished to look like some modern version of a Bewitched Cafe. I muttered to myself, should I turn back and seek the nearest Morrison's restaurant, no way I muttered to myself, my dentures would not like that, and the old Canon might give me the last rites. I reached for the door handle, the door opened then I opened one eye then the other eye. Yippie! The tea room preservation society had been active. The owner, perhaps, a gracious lady, invited me in with a most warming welcome and directed me to a table. It was made of wood, so too the chairs; no plastic insight. Soon the very old Canon joined me. Orders were placed and before one could say Jack Robinson the food arrived. I said Grace: rub a dub dub thank God for the grub. The food was excellent and we poured tea into teacups which sat in a saucer (that is where one places the teaspoon); not a navies mug in sight. The decor was ideal for the theme of the tea rooms. The atmosphere was perfect, the conversation convivial. The lavatory was clean and immaculate. I and the very, very, old Canon were extremely impressed and satisfied, and the aged Canon was as sharp as ever, I was left to pay the bill. Will we return? Yes we will. We strongly recommend The Blitz Tea Rooms.

It's a very quaint and atmospheric place. The whole experience does transport back to the 1940's. The attention to detail with the cafe and menu is superb. The food and customer service is excellent too.

Absolute gem in Kettering tucked away adjacent to the Manor Museum. Charming sisters have taken over management of this unique 1940's themed tea room since 2018. Excellent selection of homemade goodies and very good loose leaf tea to be had here. Thoroughly recommend. No trip to Kettering is complete without a visit to The Blitz.
