The Lilacs Isham in Kettering

We booked a table at the Lilacs, for 4 people, for a wedding anniversary dinner for our parents. From the minute we walked in, we felt very welcomed. Staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable when we asked about the range of beers on offer and the food menu. Our parents had steak and each was of good quality, well portioned, and cooked exactly to their request (not the easiest when they both have very different tastes). Our food arrived in good time, but we also never felt rushed to finish our starters or mains, so could also relax and enjoy the company. If you are looking for a down to earth, friendly and well managed village pub to enjoy a drink and/or food, I would highly recommend the Lilacs.

Hosted my mum's surprise birthday here - Katie, Pete and the team were absolutely wonderful from 4pm all the way to nearly 1am! Not only were they helping with the venue food, decorations, making sure we were happy, bringing out and cutting the cake their staff was also serving in the public pub and serving food to other guests - absolute SUPER STARS ⭐Cannot thank you all enough! The service was brilliant. Very friendly staff. The food was absolutely amazing. Would 100% recommend. Already booked up for my next visit.

It was lovely food but felt they were saving items on the menu for other diners. On arrival I ordered but had to wait to see if someone eles on a different table wanted it first although they had ordered after us ... if that makes sence... very strange experience

Great little pub, the service is good, the food is good and the staff are all friendly.

Seated very promptly, but went downhill from their, the food was bland, tasteless, not very warm , we all had carvery , the vegtables , burnt parsnips , carrotts , brussels hard defo frozen , was really disappointed. Sorry wont be rushing back

Excellent food and a great pint. Top service by the host, the waiter and the bar staff...would definitely recommend this place for a pint or for the tasty food.

The wake was held there following the funeral of a close friend at the Parish Church at the top of the road.The Lilacs is a nice welcoming pub with a decent sized car park, friendly staff and a good selection of beers and ales.We packed the large backroom and were treated to some great homemade food. The coronation chicken rolls and the beef and horseradish vol au vents were both worthy of special mention - superb !

Absolutely fantastic pub! Really friendly staff and really welcoming! Food was of highest quality and really fresh and hot. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a friendly pub for a tasty meal.

Lovely friendly atmosphere and family run. Delicious food and not expensive at all. Especially considering the large portions served. When I visited there was a great act singing great songs. I had a thoroughly enjoyable night and will definitely be returning again and again. Nice to find a 'proper' pub for a change.
