Trading Post Pub in Kettering

We all had lovely meals. Didn’t have to wait long, which was good for the kids as they get bored quickly. The refillable drinks were a great idea as the kids just went up and helped themselves. The staff were really friendly too. Will definitely be back.

Where to start?I guess with what can only be described as below par food and service.Ordered sirloin medium rare with extra egg and onion r/ breaded mushroom combo totaling £16.87After ordering via the app my meal arrived promptly 25 minutes later.The chips were great, probably some of the best chips I've ever had!! No lie they were awesome, light and crunchy and delicious.If only the rest if the meal was similar, unfortunately this was not the case.The steak was over cooked, as was the extra egg.The peas were hard enough to send to Ukraine in case they run out of ammo.The extra onion ring/ breaded mushroom ombo consisted of 2 onion rings and 3 stone cold plain mushrooms (not a bread crumb in sight) all finished off with a half fried tomato also stone cold.Considering I'd payed extra for the extras I'd have expected better.Why can't 'chefs' cook a decent steak anymore? Or serving staff get food to the tables while it is still hot?Very disappointed. It'll be a long time till I frequent this establishment again.Good chips though, hence the 2 stars.

Staff were welcoming explaining the ordering process whilst seating us. Rosie welcomed us and took our first order advice given whilst ordering. Food was nice and hot, staff checked we were happy with our meals. April took our desert order asking what we wanted with each pudding, puddings came quickly and obviously large !!

We bought my mum here for dinner. All our meals were excellent. I am vegetarian and I had the cauliflower buffalo wings super salad. It was lovely. So tasty. My mum had scampi which my mum said was very nice and she likes the fact that you get bread & butter with it too. My partner had the carvery which was excellent. All plates were totally cleared which is always a good sign. The staff were all very friendly and hardworking clearing and cleaning down tables. Nice place & nice atmosphere. All in all a very enjoyable lunch and we would defiantly return.

Went early evening on a Friday and it was very busy, would recommend booking a table. Menu seemed decent, with a good range of choices to suit all, all the typical food you would expect. However, at £7.99 I went for the standard plate carvery. You get a Yorkshire pudding, 3 slices of meat (choice of turkey, beef or gammon on my night), and ask the vegetables and potato's you can eat, plus you can go back for more veg/spuds. All in all one of the better carverys I have had.

Lovely place for a carvery. You can choose between a small, medium and large plate of food. Food was delicious. Reasonably priced too. Please be aware between 12pm and 3pm is very busy on Sundays. We waited 40 minutes for a table. In future I'll book in advance.

Went for midweek carvery , it was very good. Definitely will be going back 👍🙂

Very easy to book a table online, once inside was approached and took to our table straight away. We were a family party of 5 and everything we ordered from the menu was available and the service was quick. All staff both at the bar and when serving our food were polite, friendly and helpful, we'll done

Food was quick, hot, very good quality and very fairly priced, all the staff were happy. Will definitely be visiting again shortly. May even be the family’s new place to dine out weekly. See you soon 🙂

Love this place. The Carvery is a must to have followed by a slice of delicious cake (it's huge) lovely outside play area to entertain the little ones. I would advise booking though it's very popular.
