Barceloneta in Leicester

Food was great service was poor. Arrived to find two members of staff arguing in the main entrance. Waiting for the entire meal for a mocktail to then be told they do not have the ingredients. The manager was then asking for a service charge as well as adding said mocktail to the billl. Restaurant was busy with very few staff. It seems the restaurant was more interested in getting people though the door than providing a suitable service . Spoke to manager at the end and was given 3No 10% vouchers for the bar. Won’t be going back again. Extra star due to food

My husband and I visited last night. I used to love this place had many happy memories. Last night was shocking. Some ignorant and rude staff. No hellos, good byes even. Forgot things we asked for! And my husband has now got violent food poisoning, has really suffered all night and had to see a doctor this morning! Not what we expected for the amount of money we spent! Needless to say we won't be attempting it again. Sorry

Not been for a while since been closed and new ownership and have to say its a game of two half's. The restaurant side is still as good as ever, the food and atmosphere are amazing and the staff are great and really happy the new owner hasn't changed that. The cocktail bar however is a different story, drinks are still great but the atmosphere has been ruined by the really bright lights on (feels like your in your nans house) and the big screen showing American wrestling at 10 o'clock on a Saturday night, it used to be nicely lit nice and low and feel like you wanted to mingle, now you are just squinting thinking why is wrestling on in a authentic Spanish cocktail bar? Really hope this gets sorted or it will spoil what has always been one of the best places in Leicester for a night out. Food and restaurant 10 out of 10 bar 6 out 10

Food was delicious, we ordered 7 dishes which was more than enough for 2 people. However, the wine was warm and tasteless and the service was awful.We had to wait half an hour for a plates to be cleared away and we had to ask for the desserts menu.Not attentive at all, also the table we were given was in the way of the walkway so felt in the way with other customers walking and waiting around our table.The tables need removing as overheard some customer not wanting to sit on certain tables which I agree about and need more waiting staff ASAP.

Rarely in Leicester do you find a restaurant that cares both about quality of food and the vibe/aesthetic. Barcelonetta does both.Excellent quality of food, with timely and friendly service. Hallmarks of a restaurant worth revisiting.

We were here with a group of 10 to celebrate a 60th Birthday. We had pre-ordered off of the a la carte menu before arrival which was good and bad. The menu is in Spanish and the waiter brought out the food in English which led to some confusion on dishes with similar meats (pork and chicken). This was swiftly rectified however and other than this slight hiccup the meal was fantastic. The staff, especially our waitress were phenomenal. I would definitely go back and recommend to others!

I can not get out of my mind how expensive it was for the food we got. This isn't a Spanish experience whatsoever. Food mediocre. Also staff were attempting to always get you to buy more. Horrible experience.

Great food. Loved it. Had to wait a long time to go again because of covid... but can they one day please have real beer and not just Lagers?

Always good Spanish food and a good choice and the service was good, nice atmosphere
