Chickanos Leicester in Leicester

It was my first time I come to Chikanos in Leicester, I ordered a Peri Peri Grilled burger meal, I must say that the taste of the burger was nice and tasty. The Staff were friendly and given me a great customer service. 😊

Please don't order via ubereats. Waited over 60 minutes and our food arrived cold (room temperature). Chips tasted stale and most were burnt and unedible. We were sent 4 portions of chips when we just ordered 2 & items from our order were missing i.e burgers. Due to the dissatisfaction and the standard of food being vey poor, we had to re order from elsewhere. We will most definitely not be ordering from here again or recommending either. Extremely disappointed.

Greasy warm chicken, chips are average. Wings small but taste good. Very overpriced chicken. Quality is not great. Best going to other more established chicken establishments.

My family and I used to love this place. I was here very often when I worked at the train station before the pandemic. I hadn't been in a while so picked up a collection order for my family and was very disappointed. Firstly when I ordered I was told it would be ready in 15 mins but it took almost 40 minutes. I asked for sauces but you have to pay for them now. The bun on my wife's burger was very stale, almost rock hard. The lettuce in the salad was brown. The popcorn chicken in my sons box meal looked like pieces they had scooped out the bottom of the fryer. The portions have got smaller but the prices have gone up. The strips were stringy and fatty. I called to talk to the manager but English isn't a first language for them and they didn't understand, though they understood earlier when I ordered and paid. The best part of the meal was the tin of pepsi

Tried their 10 piece chicken for £10 which was worth it. Was tasty and fresh.The staff were friendly.Felt that dips were a bit pricey for the quantity given though.

Great place, atmosphere, affordable, and the peri burger I had was tasty af, can get drink and fries for £2 more, so it is convenient.In short - Go there for the peri burger

I wanted to try something else in Leicester & I come across Chickanos... the grilled chicken was amazing but the rice was nothing special.This is something for a quick bite (becareful of the waiting time, you have to wait a while) other than that food is really good.

What a joke! Went in, ordered 2 BURGERS , I'm told to wait 20 minutes, I go and collect, come home, open the bag and surprise!! My 2 burgers are actually 2 pieces of CHICKEN BREAST. that's it! Paid 17 quid for 2 pieces of chicken breast and some fries.That's not what I ordered!!

We had the Mediterranean salad, which was absolute delicious! Great flavour, healthy and fillings. Also had the butterfly chicken, which looked super colourful and tasted great too but the peri peri flavour was on the spicier side so caution if you’re sensitive to spicy food, I’d suggest choosing a different favour. Overall, really satisfied with the food and service and will definitely visit again.

Edited on 10.08.20201.Chickanos reached out to me in regards to my previous review.Their customer service was impeccable.We went back and visited again today (above date @ 6:00pm)I'm actually lost for words!! The place was immaculately clean. The perfect calm atmosphere (had my 4 excited children with me). It wasn't too busy.We ordered, and food was served fresh and hot withing 10-12mins.Brilliant Experience, Delicious Fresh Food and a clean, calm environment.The staff really made the kids happy, with lollipops as we left!! 😊You've won us over Chickanos!!Thank You for everything today, look forward to coming back very very soon!!☺️I went here today. At 6:40pm to be exact. Gave my order in at 7:15pm, waited for over an hour for my food (6 of us in tow, 4 kids, youngest 4 oldest 11 - it was horrendous waiting with hungry kids) Now, I fully understand that we are in a pandemic and we are currently all eating out to help out between Mon-Wed. But the whole service was totally disoriented and under staffed, food was definitely not worth a nearly 2 hour wait. Online orders were being served alot faster then then people in the queue that was trailing out the door.I have been to chickanos before, this was before the pandemic and it was a lovely experience, service and food was on point.I think it might be easier to head over for lunch rather then dinner.But I'll definitely be waiting a while before I head out for a meal again.
