Cricketts Inn in Leicester

Fantastic Sunday meal served on piping hot plates for our party of 16 people. Very friendly service by all the staff. Plenty of choice of traditional homecooked food and the ladies particularly liked the tea being served in very nice china cups, which rounded off a lovely occasion.

My girlfriend and myself arrived at the Cricketts on spec and hoped they would have a table for us. We asked at the bar and was told they was fully booked but if we had a drink at the bar they would squeeze us in. Shortly afterwards we was shown to our table and ordered a sharing roast platter. It was outstanding food that finished off a perfect weekend for us. Thank you very much. The couple who run it are really nice too

The menu was limited to 4 items only due to coming the day after Valentines day, but the quality of food was exceptional! It would have had a 5 star if the full menu was available! Definitely recommended and going back x

Staying in my motorhome at the nearby Conkers Camping and Caravan Site.Met up with a friend for a walk and Sunday lunch. Last minute booking at the Cricketts Inn, we originally went to the Halfway House but we didn’t like it so left.A really nicely decorated pub, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.The waitresses and, a lady who we presumed was the landlady/manageress, were lovely and friendly, even offering water for our dogs.We both chose the Beef Sunday roast….it was absolutely delicious! The blueberry and poached pear crumble, with a scoop of ice cream, was divine.We both throughly enjoyed our visit to the Cricketts Inn and highly recommend the pub and the food. We will definitely revisit when staying down here again.

Absolutely fantastic food and amazing staff the best food we’ve had in years the special fish night with lobster and steak was just out of this world incredible… such a lovely friendly welcoming pub 5 star food something different… well done to the new owners at the cricketts inn … our new favourite venue … first class

Dal and his lovely wife were so warm and welcoming when we went for a mid week meal. The menu was not extensive but there’s something for everyone and what we chose was cooked to perfection, so tasty and beautifully presented. We both had the fish platter - amazing! For starters, you’ve got to try the rabbit and black pudding croquettes, with honey and mustard. 😋The service was always with a smile and very friendly. We will definitely be going back, sooner rather than later and I can feel we will be regular visitors to The Crickett’s. Thank you Dal, your wife and Rob the chef.

Fantastic country pub with a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Dal and Corrine are great hosts and so friendly. We visit regularly for drinks and after seeing the amazing new menu we will soon be booking a table for food as well.

Booked last minute for Sunday lunch. Service was amazing our waitress isabelle was just perfect even tho it was her second day. Food arrived quickly and was cooked to perfection and portions were brilliant. Highly recommended

We went for Sunday dinner and it was less than appetising. The food was cold, we weren't the only table complaining and the food itself was bland. We used to visit this pub years ago and the food was always amazing, but obviously in the last few years things have really changed. We won't be going back.
