Golden River in Leicester

Great Singapore chow mein, nice and spicy. Sweet and sour chicken is lovely and the egg fried rice is bang on.

Brilliant menu, food looks and tastes authentic, reasonably priced menu. Opens 6 days a week and also provides delivery if you want to order instead of collecting.

First time using golden river really fast delivery came in less than 20 mins! Piping hot everything was spot on really good tasting food. Highly recommend especially if local.

What an amazing meal, our usual Chinese is shut and saw someone recommending this Chinese well I'm not disappointed I'm shocked that I think we will be changing to here from now on, crispy beef, chicken in honey sauce dumplings oh wow not alot of places do dumplings and I could of easily had more how mouth watering they were I'm in shock that there is another Chinese so near me and from delivery to customer service being excellent the food you could not fault, thank you to everyone at new golden river I will be back A*****

Had my first taste the other evening..absolutely delicious and came twenty minutes early too..highly recommend them

Amazing food, great staff and always warm and friendly welcome when you walk in or call for your order. The food is second to none, must try... I have been a customer for years, and have tried other chinese takeaways but always come back here. Food is fresh, tasty, you can see them cooking your food in the kitchen. Very clean place. Always happy with my food and very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place

Food was over 40 minutes late. Arrived very cold. When called to see where the food was had no record of order. Once found said the driver couldn’t find my road. (I live on one of the main roads in Leicester city centre) awful service will never order from here again.

When you spend £50 on a Chinese, it turns up and you discover you have chicken foo yung, not chicken curry. You then ring up and they offer to give it you free next time. It's hardly free if you've already paid for it. Anyhow, prawn toast was as dry as..........

Below Average compared to a year ago so not sure if its changed hands. The fried rice was stodgy and tasted as if it had been re heated. Will be using another local takeaway next time :(

Suddenly fancy some Chinese and decided to try out this place. Overall was okay I like 2 dishes out if 3 and will give it another go on other dishes.The 3 dishes I ordered:1) Beef Chop Suey... it was okay, a bit on the sweet & sour side not my liking.2) The Happy Family was a surprised, very garlicky and tasty, just a little too salty though.3) Had the half fried rice & half chips with bbq sauce which is good. I like the bbq sauce so next time I might order spare ribs with bbq sauce.
