Really good fish and chips,large portion even though it was a small portion, the cost was £ 6.00 enough for two people.Staff very friendly and efficient.Corona guarding on counter, the restaurant ,for now, is closed, very clean.They have a toilet for customer use,which is very clean.🌟🌟🌟🌟😊PS.the price of fish & chips are going up in most shops,please check before ordering, same good quality 😀

My wife ordered a meal through Uber eats at Grimsby Fisheries. Placed the order and paid. Meal delivered however, main part of the meal, the large haddock was not. She was informed by staff at Grimsby Fisheries that she would have to go back to Uber eats to get a refund? Firstly, how is this Uber eats fault when they are purely delivering what incompetent staff at Grimsby Fisheries can't prepare. They were quick enough to take the money for the order but wouldn't do anything in terms of ensuring delivery of requested and paid for meal. Very poor customer service and an embarrassment to the brand. Would we order from here again..not in a million years.

I would give 0 stars if I couldWhat awful service! Customer care is non exisitant at this estabhishment!The owner is EXTREMLY rude and should not be serving customers.When I tried to place my order, I was told to stand on the side as they needed to put the cod in the fryer, the owner and staff continued to serve other customers, after waiting over 10 mins I asked how much longer the order would be - not an unreasonable question is it? The owner was rude in his response...'I have to cook the chips first, I told you your oder would take 7 mins!' Well we were well over the 7 mins at that time and the cod had not been put in the fryer still! Really?! how dare he - Please keep away, spend your money at other food estabishments which offer better quality of food and more importantly better SERVICE :-) and are not creaming off on the backs of others by overcharging and treating customers badly.The silly or funny thing was that my husband received the same service a couple of months ago, and I said it must be a one off - Well not the case!

Decent portions and sizes, tastes great too. I ordered something different to normal tonight and really appreciate that the lady serving me told me about a deal including my items which included a drink and actually saved me money. Another example of great customer service which is why I keep coming back

The best fish and chips in Leicester. I have tried the fish and chips in Oadby and it is always greasy or doesn't have any flavour. But Grimbsy cod is delicious. Normally buy 2 cod and 1 large chips for around £13-14 I think.

It's absolutely the best fish and chips shop in Leicester! The owner and his colleagues are all lovely and they have gluten free options on Mondays!

Had lunch from here a couple of weeks ago on recommendation from a colleague, arrived and parking awkward due to roadworks but still managed to park outside so no issues there. Had small wait in the queue, pleasant staff who served quickly. Nipped back to work to tuck in and OMG these were the best chips I've had for a very long time, you have to try and you will not be disappointed.

I wouldn't normally rate this so low as the food has been excellent on other occasions but today i was made to wait an additional 20 minutes, I watched 8 people get served after myself and then watched my orders given away. I was then told I need to reorder and wait again. Not sure what was going on today but it wasnt good at all. Very disappointed by the service.

Why is this place over 4 stars? I would give it zero if I can!!! It must be the worst Fish & Chips I have ever had! The worst!Friend recommend this place he said it’s one of the best... and when I told him about our visit he said he last went to this place was 2 years ago... what happened? If you look at my photos you will lost your appetite too...First the starter prawn cocktail - I have never ever had a WARM prawn cocktail before and the taste is not even nice, the prawns texture was old and chewy.The breaded fish was rock hard, super over fried... so we had to change it to their famous battered fish. Yes the portion is big but... the batter taste just greasy, no seasoning in the batter either, the fish inside also tasteless... the chips if you have a look they are soggy yet Some are burnt... how is that possible?The price is not cheap and I did expected high quality... But this place is the worse, not even up to normal standard. Let’s say I wouldn’t even eat or if it’s free. No way!

One of the best fish and chips places in Leicester... Had good variety of food and all of them were super delicious!!! My only complain (a good one though) was the portions could have been smaller... I don't think anyone from our group were able to complete the whole plate or even the whole fish... Oh btw don't forget to order their house special curry sauce
