Halcyon Kitchen in Leicester

Went for a quick Sunday breakfast and it was spot on. I had the English breakfast while my friend had the eggs Benedict. No complaints

Have started going here for the last 6 months for breakfast and evening meals and both have been very good and a good standard of quality ingredients used for both!The front of house team and our usual waitress are proficent friendly and very helpfull but today all that previous great service just went out the window.There was a a different person on front of house who we gave our order too once we were seated then gave instructions etc on how you want your eggs coffee etc done then that was it then waited forFront of house lady took brought our breakfast to us but it wasnt what i ordered so sent it bk to be rectified it came back still not rectified then i asked our usual waitress to remove the eggs please as i was simply ignored by the lady who took my order and the chef who decided to give me what he wanted to cook not the paying customerBy the time i got round to eating my breakfast it was cold which just tipped it so will never go bk again as the front of house were just ignorant and somewhat insulting.Never again!!!!

Food served in good time, eggs cooked to perfection, hollandaise sauce was just right, presentation was spot on. Quantity could have been better but for £6.50 for Eggs Florentine is good value in this day and age. My 3rd visit here and the staff are amazing, so attentive, polite and efficient every time I visit. This place deserves 6*

Came here recently with a big group of people. The pizza was amazing!! The staff were really lovely and navigated all the challenges that come with a big group well. I'd definitely come here again

I had the house special pizza today , hands down worse pizza had in my life not even. 1/10 tasted like cardboard . Aldis 1.99 pizza is better . Never again and service was mediocre

Just returned from having an amazing meal here. The restaurant is so well set out and each table is actually quite private. The food was just simply amazing. I had a Bruschetta, as did my wife and someone else had the Calamari to start. The pizzas for the mains were massive, tasty and fresh and then I had the chilli chicken - this was the best thing I have eaten in a long time. With such great starters and mains, there was no room for dessert but I needed to have something as I knew it would be brilliant, and the cheesecake didn't disappoint. All in all, a great meal, nice atmosphere and excellent service. Will 100% return

Overall a good solid experience. We were there on a Tuesday which Halcyon only offers a limited menu. Had the Calmari and a pepperoni pizza. Both were solid hits!

If you haven't already visited you're missing out. I'm not a vegetarian but I opted for the vegetarian breakfast muffin and it was by far the best breakfast I've ever had. The ambience and setting was also really relaxing and calm. Will be back again very soon. The waitress was also lovely!
