Herb in Leicester

Wow, this place is incredible! I was visiting Leicester on business and researched this restaurant on TripAdvisor. I didn't recognise anything on the menu, so if asked my waitress Teena what she recommended. She suggested Pollichathu with puffy batura bread. Both were absolutely delicious. Thank you Teena! I will be back.

Lovely place, location is great for Leicester City Centre, just a short walk from the train station. Great Vege choice! Tasty food! Service was good.... Bit of a catch with the whole "Leicester Food Week" voucher, so we ended up not using it. Nice otherwise.

Was excited to visit this restaurant as I've had lots of great meals at the parent restaurant, Kayal. However, we were left a little disappointed.We got a thali each but felt the curries were not as good as Kayal or other South Indian restaurants across the city. The puri was perfect, as was the shredded veg. But the others were just okay, nothing to write home about.I'd give it another chance but maybe for a dosa or a full main dish. But I won't be in a rush.

We stopped at Herb as it claimed to be a specialist Vegan Restaurant. However, although they have some vegan options, it was certainly not as advertised being pure Vegan. Other vegetarian restaurants also have vegan options.Notwithstanding this, the food we did order was very tasty and well presented, staff and service excellent, lovely environment and clean.Just wished we could have had a wider choice of vegan options.Would still highly recommend, as being a vegan family for over 7 years, we are always happy to see veganism being promoted. Well done, and keep it up.

The best restaurant in Leicester. Very welcoming staff and a cosy feel to the place. The food is absolutely amazing! Every dish I had was full of flavour, well cooked and I haven't been disappointed by anything that has come out of the kitchen there. I love this place... and if you want to experience fantastic flavour combinations and authentic cuisine from southern India then Herb is the place to go. And finally, how can you not love a restaurant which has a Royal Enfield motorcycle on display representing the Anglo-Indian relationship? Just brilliant!

We were a group of 6 meeting up for our annual Christmas meal. I ordered the slim thali which compromises of 7 tapas style dishes with puri and rice. Some of the dishes I would never order if I could only have one. However, every single dish was absolutely amazing! The flavours of each were completely different. The service was excellent too. 100% would recommend Herb. Well done to the chef and the team

The Herb is more of a vegan restaurant than a typical vegetarian restaurant in a very nice area of Leicester. There are many restaurants of a similar standard situated around the same area. The ambiance of the place is really Nice and the variety of vegan/ Herb enriched food is really good.It's a good restaurant for a change.

This is a most wonderful Vegan restaurant I've ever been to. The decor and atmosphere was lovely, the staff accommodating and attentive and the food...OMG! The food was varied and absolutely awesome. Do not miss this restaurant if you happen to be in Leicester.
