Jimmy's Killer Prawns in Leicester

Finding Parking is an issue. Ablution and Prayer Facilities available. Restaurant itself got simple interior. Seating wise the tables are far to close to eachother. Also the table for 4 is 2 small to fit enough food if you order a variety of food.Ordered a prawns platter for 1 which contains 18 medium pieces of prawns served with either rice or chips and 3 sauces.Also got a Cod Fillet served on a bed of Stir Fry Vegetables with Chips. Choice of Grilled or Fried. I choose the Fried Cod and unfortunately the outer part of the fish was hard basically the coating which was very disappointing.

Killer prawn platter was really good. We got soups, burgers, lamb chops, calamari, grilled veg, chips and rice. Extra spicy Killer prawns tasted the best and they were not that spicy so that's the best recommendation I can give. The medium spicy prawns tasted pretty bland. Everything else was amazing. Thank you.

Trip to Jimmy’s Killer Prawns in Leicester today! Can not fault anything.. we were advised that the lunch time special was 50 prawns & two sides for £40 of course this was what we ordered 😂🦐There was only two of us & we had to have a takeaway box to take lots home could have easily have done four people. We will be back! Staff were lovely & very helpful.

Really enjoyed this place. There is not a lot of seafood places to choose from Leicester, but this is the best one for me. A good choice of options as well as non-seafood such as chicken, lamb etc, so caters to pretty much everyone.This restaurant splits opinion, but the food was really good. The service we had was good, however my only complaint will be space. There was 3 of us, placed on a table for 4. But because we ordered a decent amount of food, we were struggling for space. Would have made sense for them to move us to a bigger table, but the other tables were taken up by the time our food had arrived.

10/10 for customer service, 10/10 on food tastes, 10/10 on presentation of the place and overall 10/10 on everything. Team member recommended a dish and it was out of this world. I like it spicy and it was up my street. Will definitely be coming back soon and will recommend this place to everyone. Keep up the good work guys.

Nice place with good atmosphere although no parking.Ordered the large platter of prawns which comes with 3 sides. Also a dynamite shrimps starter.Dynamite shrimps starter wasn’t great. Didn’t really have much flavour.Prawns were nice to begin with but got a little boring after a bit. I wasn’t too keen on the dips they came with, they were quite similar to each other and probably a little too thick for my liking.The rice and chips were good. Everything seemed fresh.Overall it was a good experience. I would recommend to get a small portion of prawns to share and get different mains. Probably would be more enjoyable.

Good portions well priced & for a non prawn eater other food available. I had the beef ribs which was a very good portion but lacked flavour... spice it up abit guys . Brilliant customer service 👏

I ordered the dynamite prawn burger, and my friends ordered a chicken burger, grilled chicken and a prawn platter. The prawns in the burger were cooked nicely and tasted even better with the peri sauce we ordered on the side. The burger also came with decent chips. I wish they had given more sauces, to go with the food. The grilled chicken burger was also really tasty.In short good food, and vibes

It was worthy travelling to here, heaven for the prawn lovers, tasty food, tasty drinks, parking isn't available as it's very busy road. Staff is super friendly and hardworking, service is very fast, can't fault except the rice were not tasty to me and option for bread were missing.

Ordered a prawns plater for 4 and a cheesy mushroom gratan as well as Calamari.The portion sizes were very generous, the prawns were fresh and well presented, making the food look very appealing and appetising.The prawns platter consisted of a portion of a large portion of chips and rice.The platter came with lemon butter, garlic & herb butter and Peri Peri dips.The prawns were medium prawns, grilled covered in a tomato based sauce making it very juicy, succulent and full of flavour.The calamari was crispy and went really well with the tartar sauce. Personally I found the prawns went better with chips than with rice.The mushroom gratan was really creamy and silky and the grilled cheese was really crispy.The mushroom were cooked to perfection they weren't too chewy or to soggy.
