I normally like Las Iguanas and I have had many positive experiences there (Leamington Spa and Coventry), but this was not one of them. The service was slow but that's okay because they were understaffed. To begin with, our virgin piña coladas were not strong in their coconut or pineapple flavours. The Mexican poppadoms and fries were fine. However, the mains were too spicy, even for someone who's used to really spicy food. One was manageable (veggie enchiladas) and the other was inedible (no goat curry) because of the spice level. We sent it back after a few bites and didn't wanted it replaced but we still got charged for it.The churros were very delightful but the dulce de leche sauce was to runny.Atmosphere wise, the music was too loud though this expected for most restaurants now.I will probably go to Las Iguanas again, but will give the Leicester branch a miss.

Visited with my family for my 21st birthday. Such a great variety on the menu and everyone in our party found something that they really enjoyed. A fairly decent price and a fantastic offer on the cocktails as well as student discount. Jay was a fantastic server and we all thought he was extremely friendly and kind.

Excellent food, realtiy tasty. Staff were amazing, we booked 13 people in for lunch with just 45 minutes notice, they couldn't have been any more helpful. The waitress remembered 12 orders without any errors

Group meal food delivered all together and drinks served very efficiently. Would have liked more spice in my food (had XinXim) but overall it was very nice. Happy hour cocktails were good too.

First time at this place. Very spacious premises and a good vibe. Music was loud but was close to a speaker, that said you could still have a conversation. Service was excellent and they even split out shared starters into separate dishes as my wife is vegitarian. Laura our waitress was excellent, even though it got busy she never changed attitude. Food was amazing and full of taste and plenty of it, everything was spot on. Defo will be going back again!

Good selection of meals. Not keen on spices myself but staff were happy to make adjustments. Friends were very impressed with meals from the menu.Drinks were well worth the price. Had a few share drinks between us which were all great.Only down point was the service charge auto added to the bill. But I never like that anywhere.

Food good and fresh, but not the most staff during our visit. Very pleasant team working, but we could've probably got another 3/4 drinks if they were more attentive

To be completely fair, it was my first time and it was also a Saturday night so it was quite busy, however, we got there and immediately got served our drinks but then had to wait another 30 minutes just to order starters, and then another 20 to order our mains, the food was delicious, hot and fresh, overall the food was high quality and the portions were big but it's a little bit expensive for me personally, so are the alcoholic drinks (they're average prices is £10 for a cocktail and the mains are average £16-£20) the atmosphere also was a big let down as it was quite loud and a little cramped. (I might change this review if I ever go back for lunch)Ultimately, the food is amazing, portions are big and tastes authentic, however the service was the biggest negative, it's just too slow, and the prices are a little expensive personally. If you want to try authentic Mexican/ south American cuisine with a lovely atmosphere at an affordable price range in Leicester, I'd recommend bodega cantina.

Food was fantastic. I went for the Calamares starter and the Chicken Fajita stacks. The staff were all helpful, will definitely return.

This was supposed to be a nice birthday meal for a party of 7!Our server Liz didn’t acknowledge my birthday at all, no smile whatsoever & it felt like she didn’t want to be there. Flat awful atmosphere.Cocktails were buy one get one free but this seemed pointless as the glasses were tiny so it makes up one glass anyway. So this is absolutely null.Had to go upto the bar twice to get our own paper straws. We had to ask Liz twice to check with the chef regarding the chilli salt being left off the steak, she clearly doesn’t care about the customers at all.Food was overpriced & the portions on the fajitas were an absolute joke the cheese was tiny and came in a tiny pot half the size of a shot glass & barely covered two fajitas, my partner had to ask for more & we got the same tiny sizes! No steak knife was given either! This is not hearty Brazilian food this is an embarrassment to Latin America.Worst birthday meal I’ve ever had.
