Marshall Fish Bar in Leicester

i paid £4.70 for a dish of 4 bits of “chilli” paneer but should have said “vinegar” paneer. tasted horrible and for what i got the price was ridiculous. £1.17 for one cube? tasted similar to vinegar and had no chilli taste to it.

Rarely ever give 1 star, first time in years. Had the worst possible experience and this place really has gone down hill. Ordered many times before over 30. Ordered on the Foodhub app as they recommend for delivery. Says 70 minute delivery, wait 70 minutes call up they said ‘5 mins will be there’ wait another 10 still nothing. Work in a hospital and could not wait, had to leave without eating and running late. Walking out the door the guy comes then drives off without giving me the food. Ring the take away the guy starts shouting at me telling me not to order ever again and he has refunded me and I shouldn’t expect free food? No one told me I was refunded or else I wouldn’t be calling. Never felt this humiliated in a long time. No respect at all. Making someone wait over the time then have an attitude when they don’t deliver and keep someone waiting. Would ever recommend or order again. Must be new management as not the friendly owners I remembered before or the friendly lady who used to work there!

We ordered last 2 x pizza (veg and doner), 1 x pannier in Naan (with salad and sauces) and portion of chips. The delivery arrived around 35-45 min and food was pipping hot. Pizzas was really nice with nice cheese and topping. My son ate the doner pizza and he said it was the best he had in a long time. Pannier in garlic naan was really nice, so nice that i was picking up bits up dropped on table to eat it. Chips was nice but i felt it Could do with more salt and vinegar. Overall excellent experience, food was great and service is good too. Will definitely be visiting or ordering again. Thank you.

a kebab missing from order, food was stone cold, chicken tasted chalky, kabab was all hard and crispy, chips were hard. aboslute disgust. posted 15 oct 2021 avoid this place defo yesterdays left overs!!

Just been to buy some food like I do up to 3 times a week. The fish was brittle and just slightly warm. I complained not to get a refund or replacement but to let him know. But the owners son in law (which he said he was) started shouting at me saying their fish was freshly fried, I asked him to stop his rude behaviour, which he wouldn't, so I hung up. Won't be going there again.

Top service,was quick and food ready on time. The garlic sauce pizza i ordered was the first time having it, it was very tasty. Will order again.

Good value for money.Lovely battered sausage, nice fish and chips. Not too keen on burgers thought.Prompt deliveries, cold drinks kept separate from hot food.
