I am a full time carer, and While visiting with my boyfriend my wheelchair / heavily disabled mother we had an unfortunate time and were treated incredibly disrespectfully by The staff, servers refused to alter a simple portion and were extremely unhelpful when asking for ingredients and allergens in the food. The waiting staff were dismissive and upon entering the building to pay for our food the head chef of the establishment commented about us being "very fussy" and continued to tell us that his wait staff said we were very fussy customers and we won’t make any changes to our menu as we have so many items. To which I replied I find it a little sad that you are unable to give me half a potatoe rather than a whole one and I’m happy to pay as Mam who is a massive stroke victim can not manage a while one. This is all while other customers were stood waiting to be served. Needles to say I felt so embarrassed.Upon asking the chef why he was rude and why he felt the need to belittle us. He addressed my outfit and the fact that I was wearing makeup and how strange I looked. And said how about you don’t bring your mother or boyfriend back, I then felt very unsafe at this point I then asked "what does this have to do with the service" I felt very unsafe and considering this is place marked as safe for LGBTQ+ I was extremely surprised by this treatment. This is NOT a safe space for either the disabled or any visible minority group. We have been coming here for years and now to hear that the staff think my disabled [unable to speak ] Mam AND myself and even my very softly spoken bf are fussy and my bf’s makeup was apparently ‘strange to look’, needless to say we shall not return [as we were told not to, and of course we would never want to after this horrific treatment of an elderly disabled, visibly homosexual and myself [a carer] and unhappily have to label this a non safe LGBTQ+ establishment.

A gorgeous old and authentic tea room. Had eggs royale and it was the best breakfast I've ever had in the UK so far . The portions are big and the food is very tasty. People are friendly and it's really great value for money. Tried also the chips and cream tea, the chips were perfect and the scones were warm with a very generous portion of clotted cream and jam. They also have a kids menu. Would definitely love to go back if I've ever in Leicester again.

Had to go over and ask a disgruntled looking waitress for service after having waited 10 minutes for service. On that occasion, eggs royale served stone cold. Tomato ketchup clearly the remnants of and what was already in a dinky little ramekin.Partner, on this occasion asked for "no greens" on his dish as he has a serious aversion to them. Yet they were served with his dish.On a previous visit, toast was black on one side but turned over, on a breakfast. Asked for a refund, got a refund and left to go back to work. One waitress tells me they toast the gluten free bread with the other breads, and another waitress laughed and fobbed gluten intolerance off as being "nothing more than an upset stomach" and changed the subject.Bins in toilet always overflowing.Beautiful building though but shan't be returning.

Always outstanding. The food is always excellent and the service is always good. It never fails to hit the mark time and time again. Great portion sizes. Fairly priced. I love the Eggs Royale and the Caspian is great too, the other half has sampled the English Breakfast which was also the same great standard. Outside seating available in the little courtyard where the front door is. Table service provided. Would really recommend Mrs B's without a second thought.

Had a great lunch here yesterday. Service was friendly and the afternoon tea was good value and the bread and cakes all tasted fresh and homemade. They’ve got a wide selection of breakfast and lunch items. Will definitely be back!

We had a hen party and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here! It was a bit too warm upstairs. Would’ve been great if they had fans or something. The afternoon tea & the cold iced latte was really lovely! The brioche buns gave a nice twist to the sandwiches! I chose Red Leicester cheese and chutney as my option! All the sweet desserts and scones were delicious too! Oooo and the cheesy chips with Red Leicester cheese was really really delicious too!!!
