Northern Cobbler in Leicester

Shoes and coffee, a strange mix. It can be a bit 50/50, often coming away with burnt coffee. It's a nice setting, and a nice atmosphere, and they get some tasty cakes and pastries in, but you may need to get a second coffee at times. That said, they are more than happy to replace your coffee if you do have any issues, mistakes can happen and I can't fault the staff for their service.

I use northern cobbler frequently purely because the coffee and cakes are SO good, in my opinionbest in Leicester. If they weren't quite so good I wouldn't be able to forgive the slow, fumbling style of service!If the staff were more carefully trained/selected the turnover would be far greater and profits may increase enough to allow slightly better value to the customer! I've watched people huff/tut/leave due to the very slow service...sometimes down to staff chatting and showing pics on phones etc while queue grows.

The Dory (v bagel) was so delicious and the hot chocolate made with coconut milk was so tasty. Not the cosiest place in winter but food was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely come again

Nice coffee and nice atmosphere. Doesn’t seem to have a toilet- cafes with this many seats should have a toilet as far as I’m aware? Can be quite slow and frustrating dogs aren’t allowed in, also frequently don’t have oat m*lk available…

Third time trying these guys out. Never had good service here but previously at least the coffee was decent. Today, however it was all bad which was a bummer because I was the only person In the cafe. I love supporting small independent businesses so please sort it out guys

Went with my family and dissapointed with the overall experience. Coffees were good but we had to ask for outside tables to be wiped down. We had ordered bagels for my wife and 3 children and a falafel flat bread for myself. The bagels took a very long time to arrive, coffees were long gone by that point. We were notified the flatbread was on its way but everyone had almost finished their food by the time it arrived. When it did arrive the falafel inside the flatbread was still frozen inside. I decided i didn't want to wait even longer for the food whilst my wife and kids had finished eating ages ago so I requested a refund for that the flatbreaf but that isn't enough for me to risk such a disappointing experience in the future.

I went in this afternoon and the food was absolutely amazing. The girl working there was really lovely. Overall the experience was excellent and I’d recommend going in

Cosy little cafe in Clarendon Park. Delicious home cooked food. My bagel was made with lots of fresh salmon lightly smoked and delicious cream cheese. Coffee was good. Service could have been more attentive. Nice place for meeting friends of having a quiet moment by yourself. Recommended.

little bit pricey for small-ish portions but the bagel was sooo delicious! I had the salmon bagel and my friend had the dory one and we loved our food so much. Very chilled out vibes and nice and peaceful. Mocha was delicious too! Did expect the large to be a bit bigger but the small was very tiny. I would 100% come here again just to study / have a catch up with a friend.

One of the best coffee places in Leicester. They might not do syrups, but definitely not needed. The coffee blend is so smooth 😍Definitely try a latte, Dory bagel and the chocolate brownie - you won't be disappointed.The staff are very friendly and chatty and often ask how your day is going.
