It was very busy when we first went in. Lots of people having meals. Bustling . Obviously a very popular place. It is our local and a bit unhappy that the landlord is leaving at the end of june. We will be sorry to see them go.

Excellent Sunday roast with really welcoming staff. Came here as a walk in and we will certainly be booking back in. The food was cooked so well. My husband had beef and I had pork and both had amazing flavour. The roast potatoes did not disappoint either, best I've had with a meal out. The cheese cake is homemade and was a delight to finish the meal off. Overall an excellent experience.

All though there was only one lady taking food orders and serving she was friendly and professional and didn't appear fazed, the service was excellent as was the food.I would highly recommend the Old Black Horse

Nice pub in the outskirts of Leicester which offers a large garden area to enjoy your drinks and meal in the sun as well as a large area inside.The pub also has it's own car park which is helpful.Be mindful that if you do decide to sit outside, there is a slightly limited menu available compared to their inside menu (limited to their pub classics and a few other stuff).Overall, the options of drinks were good for beers on tap, and also their food options are what you would expect - decently priced and we'll portioned.Their staff were friendly and helpful when we couldn't decide what to eat, giving us suggestions of their favourite dishes, which was helpful.Would recommend if you're passing the area or just fancy a nice pub with a lot of open space to enjoy your drinks in the sun.

We asked the Old Black Horse Inn if they would provide us with a work Christmas Lunch and they gave us two very festive options; Turkey roast or a festive afternoon tea. We ordered a number of each and they delivered it on time and the food was loved all round! Thanks for providing a great lunch, from all at M W Vehicle Contracts.

Me and my wife had lunch there and it was really good. There was absolutely nothing you could fault about the meal. Everything was perfectly cooked. We had Scallops which we shared to start then she had lamb shoulder and I had Fish, which was the catch of the day. 5 Stars for sure. If I were to try to find something negative it would be that the temperature inside was a bit cooler than I expected. I had on jeans, t shirt and a jumper but was tempted to put my coat on. But hey, maybe the recent temp drop caught them out, who knows. But that's me trying to find something negative out of what was pretty much perfect.
