I have been eating food from Pau Baji since the 1980's. At that time they were based on Eggington Road and the shop was called Milan. This Family run business, Started by Paresh is one of Leicester's originals. I still visit whenever I am in town

Really poor service. I asked a question and I was not listened to properly and the lady serving me just said yes. When it came out wrong I was told I could not return it or get something else. I went out and returned for a refund then was given a exchange. I was even asked to pay the difference of a minor 5p. I gave it because to me its not about the money. I pay for the food which in the end was OK, I have had it better before. I do however pay for a service as well. The treatment was different as clearly the lady who came in after me who seemed like a regular was spoken to properly and was given a smile. At the beginning I was even patient as I walked and kindly waited at first because the lady behind the counter was on the phone. This is not good enough and treatment to all customers should be the same.

Very poor quality of food. My advice if you looking for healthy vegetarian shop this is not for you. This Shop was best many years ago but now they sale inside of Thali readymade tins curry just worm up and sale. Roti also readymade just worm up and sale. Don't expect they cook fresh there. Very poor quality of food.

Good for snacks etc. Reasonably priced. The wait can b a bit long at times. Finding a parking here is not always easy. I guess, it's best to place an order over the phone in advance to save time.

I always order my Lunch from here.5x Veg Samosas for £1 and Tea.Havn't tried anything else. The reason why I have given the rating as 3 is because I believe Pau Bhaji needs to improve on the way they serve their customers and how they store food that has been ordered via the telephone. I noticed that they store all ordered food is one big basket and the smell from one food goes into the other. Sometimes even the Tea tasted wierd. If all this improves then PauBhaji would be hitting the tops once again but until then, I await for their improvement.

I agree the place has gone down hill. It used to be on my list of go places for a decent quickish lunch. The Pau Bhaji just isn’t of the same standard and I’m sure they’ve cut down on portion sizesHave they changed owners? One of the regular ladies I remember, doesn’t appear appear to be there anymore.

Worst experience. Ordered 2 thalis with the same curry, was given 2 different curry which was tasted like leftovers from the day before. Used to be very nice before, don’t know what’s happened now. Bhaturas was not well cooked and very hard to chew. New unfamiliar staff with not a lot of knowledge. Portions were too small which was really embarrassing in front of guests. Would not recommend.

Used to go here a few years ago,was not bad, it's now probably the worst takeaway in the area. It's been sliding down hill for some time now, and can honestly say it has hit rock bottom. Food, not cooked well, no taste to the food, served cold as is the service, all round terrible.
