Fantastic! I had never tried Mithai sweets before and was blown away at how lovely they are! Cannot recommend highly enough. Loved them!

I am a regular customer of Popat Mithai and Farsan shop for various things mainly chapatis, bhakaris and thepalas. They are really soft and delicious. In my busy life, my family can have proper Indian meal because of Popat's ready freshly made chapatis. I am so used to it that when I moved from Leicester to another place due to work, I still order it online regularly. Many of my new friends here also have liked it and are now their customers. I feel its must to have Popat's fresh and delicious food for living a busy difficult life here in UK.

Bought Diwali sweets. The kaju katali was made using old and stale cashew nuts which left unpleasant and bitter aftertaste. The Bombay Halawa didn't have firm texture and was too too sweet.Milk burfy and Bundi ladoo were good.

The sweets and savoury items are quite frankly below average. But what is most disappointing is the service. With utmost respect to the wise old woman at the counter, I get a feeling she thinks she is doing you a service by selling you food. For instance, last week we bought 3 x boxes of Sooji Gol Gappa. And they were uncooked! So bad that our gums bled eating them. We opened one of those boxes threw it in the bin. And took the other two to the shop to return. The wise old woman at the counter refused to give us a refund and pretty much tried to establish that that is the way it is supposed to be. Uncooked sooji gol gappas are not supposed to be that way. I have eated gol gappas all my life and to be told that they are supposed to be uncooked like that is an insult to me and gol gappas. I gave the two boxes back to her as my gift to her and requested that she eats them. And she said, "hum yeh nahi kaathey!". hahahahaha...If they don't eat the produce from their own shop, what it does tell you about what you should do? AVOID AT ALL COST!Edit after reading owner's response : I have no idea how I stand to benefit from encouraging my friends to leave 1-star reviews (I did not even get the money back for the pani puri boxes I returned/donated at your shop yesterday). So no, they arent my friends. And those other people who left 1-star reviews probably were also given uncooked produce! Or food that was supposed to be 'uncooked' in the first place!P.S : Neha Popat has left you a 5-star rating. I wonder why!

Bought diwali sweets here two weeks back and some frozen theplas. The sweets were of the worst quality we have ever eaten. Terrible. They use very low quality ingredients. Never going to this shop ever again.

We had been buying food regularly from Popat and bought rotis and Thepla every week. Excellent food and excellent customer service. Samosas are to die for. Never failed us and looking forward for more.

I’m not one to leave reviews but this is a lovely well run family business! Every time I go there the service is impeccable and food is delicious. I was lucky enough to go there when the beautiful grandchildren were running around, they’re the real stars of the show!

Excellent sweets. I have tried ordering Indian sweets from many places in UK but none were even close to this one. This one was authentic and perfect as it could be. Great and careful packaging too!

Terrible!!!Ordered online only for DHL to mishandle my parcel delivered upside down and when opened oil had spilt inside the box, food items were damagedFood quality was poor, flavourless and appears ingredients were missing such as peas in the somosas and garlic in the thepla (didn't read anywhere online that the owner was Jain) as Shyam stated after i emailed my feedback. Why was that information not made available online?I am not a local, this is important information which should be made public if you are not using certain ingredients.Dhokla were colourless and very dry lacking flavour, garlic bhajiya batter was thick and again lacked in authentic flavours which I would expect from Gujarati foodWorst Gujarati food in Leicester by far!
