My family and I came to Ruby for the first time this evening. We ordered the udon off of their new menu (both the chicken and king prawn udon) with a side of fried rice. The quality really was excellent, not greasy in the slightest and packed with flavour. I wouldn't hesitate to grab a takeaway from here again!

Delivery a little bit slow really nice staff over the phone that I spoke to when food arrived really decent portion sizes very impressed food is very tasty very lovely Chinese food one of the best Chinese shops I’ve tried in this area and affordable will be ordering again in the future ❤️

I took a chance on Rubys Chinese on Thursday 24/06/21 did a collection, very polite on and good customer service, went. To pick up the place smelt amazing, got home and I was tucking into my house special curry my pops his shuczan special and mum. Chicken balls, the curry was so salty I could not enjoy it and had to leave it, the shuczan meal had an unusual taste I was told And the chicken balls was soaked through with oil still.... Tried. To phone to complain but I could not get through, will not be using this place again....

OK. So this was our first ever order from Ruby’s. We have always bought our Chinese from New Golden Chef (NGC) but they closed recently.We tried to order similar dishes so we could compare them.1. Hot and sour soup. Strong vinegar taste.2. Spring rolls. Rather small and not cooked enough. Pastry was flabby and contents not hot enough.3. Sesame prawn toast. Not cooked enough.4. Jill Yuen prawns. Not cooked properly - coating was flabby and not crispy. Lacked taste. Lukewarm.5. Special Fried Rice. Not very special. Rather bland and not much meat. Lukewarm.6. Free prawn crackers were tasty. Better than NGC.We were rather disappointed and will have to continue our quest for a match for the New Golden Chef (RIP).

I try so many new Chinese takeaways as I'm on the road alot with work.I usually just have a dry special fried rice..It has to be the worst one I have had ..Two prawns two small pieces of chicken and small pork .It was tastless

Food was better than average, relative to other Chinese takeaways that I have experienced. However nothing special. Did not receive napkins packed into the takeaway bag, or Chinese chopsticks (although not necessary, it is a nice touch). The best part about this place was the customer service and speed of service. Staff were happy to make alterations to their set meals. This was appreciated.
