Never been before, but enjoyed the service and food. I did however feel some dishes where a little salty for my taste. Overall however the dining experience was very good. As usual ended up with taking a doggy bag home lol.

Just had a really, really good spicy vegan curry here, made to my spec, quickly and courteously, with a nice pint of Kingfisher.

I guess it all depends on what kind of Indian you like. This one was very tasty and the staff was really kind, however, I tried much better food in couple other places around the UK so I would not call this one my fav. I liked the food, but it is not my fav.type of Indian.

Used to be a lovely restaurant as i used to go with my family. Decided to take my girlfriend there and HELL NO never again am i stepping foot in this restaurant. Dirty tables dirty menus dirty glasses food all up the wall and the place just stunk of oil really bad. Charged for a naan that we never received. Overall very bad experience and i won't be giving them another chance

Myself and a couple of friends visited this restaurant for my friend’s 22nd birthday. This was our very first time eating at Santhi but decided to book this place as the aroma whenever we walked past on Granby st was always amazing. When we arrived we were greeted promptly and sat down at our table which was nice however it took them over 10 minutes to hand us a menu and that’s only after we asked. The restaurant was not busy and only had 3-4 tables or so. One thing I noticed on the menu is that there is a compulsory minimum spend of £10 per customer which I think it a bit ridiculous as many people want/like to share one dish and a few sides with someone but can’t at this restaurant. It took another 15 minutes for anyone to walk past us so we could ask them to take our order. I originally ordered the masala dosa which they didn’t have unfortunately. I was a bit surprised and disappointed by this as being a South Indian restaurant I would always expect dosa to be on the menu. I ended up ordering the biryani and one starter.I have no complaints about the starter as the chicken lollipops tasted great! Nice flavour, juicy and crispy. It was a very good starter. My friends were a bit surprised as they didn’t have mango chutney for their papadoms but each restaurant to their own I guess. The starters and mains came out very quickly. My biryani had far too many onions. It seemed like there were more onions than rice. I’m not a fussy eater and usually like a bit of crunch from onions but I felt this was excessive. I was not able to enjoy my main and left the majority of it. The naan tasted a bit like shop bought generic supermarket brand. Thick and dry without any butter/ghee on top. Overall the food was quite average I would say.We asked for the bill and they charged us for 11 papadoms and a pickle tray although we only ordered 2 papadoms. We didn’t order a pickle tray while ordering but just assumed it was on the house when they brought it with the papadoms. We did pay for the pickle tray and sorted the bill so was only charged for 2 papads. We paid our bills and at this point so dissatisfied with the service that we just wanted to leave. We had given a cake to the staff to bring and surprise our friend so had to wait til then but then decided to take the cake home instead of eat and stay at the restaurant any longer.I can say I don’t think me or any of my friends will be visiting Santhi again.

Family meal. First time visit to this restaurant. This was an interesting visit as the the vegetarian food was better than than the chicken dishes for taste. The portions were a bit on the small side. I would go back again.

Was a decent place to eat. Big menu with a lot of variety. Worth trying. Heard the woman brag their chilli paneer is the best in town but didn't get a chance to see if that's true.
