Tangoe in Leicester

Really enjoyed the food. There are some really good variety dishes to try out. Some are spicy, some are sweet and spicy and there are the normal curries. I would recommend this as an alternate restaurants for vegetarian food.

We used this place since 2000However over the years the quality of food has change. Funny taste, too much salt or spicy or oily. We order 2 times paid £12.50 chillie paneer very mild and crispy bhajia the container size has got smaller and normally we would have crispy bhajia leftover. Surprise this we has a found at the most we had18pc???So I am not sure what's gone wrong

Beautiful food, fresh and really tasty. Cannot believe i havent tried this place before. We dined in, really peaceful and extremely quick service..modern decor. Will return for sure

We have been a royal customer for over 6 years now and normally do takeaway from there quite often even though we have moved away from that area but yesterday's food was just appalling. The paneer we received was salty, the naan was just thick, chewy & seemed stale and the dosa didn't seem fresh at all. The food was definitely reheated. My daughter eventually ended up throwing up her food at 3 am in the morning which does prove that their food has gone downhill. If you have a family and little ones, please avoid this place. There are plenty of vegetarian restaurants in Leicester thst serve and make fresh food.

Crispy aubergine was very salty. Sent it back second batch was good.. Dosa was tasteless. When asked for another jug of water it was placed in the table with a slam. th a slam. Don't think they liked us sending the aubergines back.

Most of the food we ordered tasted verybland, service was very slow.Dhosas we ordered were undercooked andvery soft.. the sambhal that comes with it wascold! Asked for a replacement and was toldfresh ones being made, came 10 minutes laterpiping hot that we couldn't have it by whichtime dhosas were cold ruined our experiencetotally.Restaurant can be very small and crampedespecially during covid times.Used to be much better back in the day buthas gone very downhill. There are far betteroptions in Leicester for vegetarian food

Tangoe has become an institution in leicester; chili paneer like no other (bar one...)The restaurant had a major refurb last year and it looks classy and cosy inside now, a decent place to enjoy your indo-chinese and South Indian food.The portions are always huge, the prices are always reasonable and the service is always super quick. Compare Tangoe to the other similar restaurant and for me Tangoe comes up the clear winner every time.I'd recommend all the different paneer dishes, the crispy aubergine, the noodles (all varieties) and the crispy bhajia.If you're looking for an eat-in or a takeaway, you can't go wrong with Tangoe.

My girlfriend brought me to this place and I gotta say the food was really good..I couldn't believe how many telephone orders were being collected it was madSo that's gotta say something about this place..Definitely dine in for sure you're not waiting that long for the foodGod knows how they do it but business ethically they do amazing!!

Tasty food , large portions and the cafe area looks simple and clean but I usually always get a takeaway. My order is always ready within the time stated during my phone call when I order. Roughly 20mins.

Back to regular eatery to have our favourites and we were not disappointed. Chinese noodles and aubergine stir fry were exceptional. Will be back.
