"A pub at the heart of the community and proud of our heritage. A quick catch up over a drink with family and friends, or catching all of the live action with our great sports viewing. There is always something going on in your local pub with a great atmosphere and value for money."

Amazing pub. The manager recommended we visit his pub when we met him at yoga class. When we went we wasn’t disappointed. Food top notch. And they even do gluten free beer witch is good.

The menu was ridiculous. They had dropped 90% of the dishes from it. Only serving about ten main courses and no starters or sweet courses. All drinks were in plastic beakers, not glasses, and it took them ages to serve the meal.Memorable but for all the wrong reasons.

Food was alright, but after trying to navigate the menu and becoming a bit stressed, we had to ask the bar for more info about their options for someone with food restrictions..They shrugged and pulled out a giant yellow binder..which was impossible for me to navigate. We just gave up and ordered a steak, it was a decent steak. It is a sports pub afterall. But I wouldn't recommend eating here if you have any food allergies, or dietary restrictions. My options were super limited, everything was breaded or had cheese...

Sunday roast was very disappointing, worst I've ever had. Dried fried turkey, flavourless veg, watery gravy and fried roast potatoes. Wouldn't recommend.

Great place with lovely staff, obviously experienced problems in the kitchen recently but everyone is too fast to jump to critique on sites like this.

Service was slow. Most of the food that was eventually served to us was inedible. My 8 year old son thought his pizza base was a sponge as it was so soft and soggy. My dinner was so overcooked/burnt that I couldn't cut it or eat it. The manager agreed with us that the food wasn't good and offered a refund. When we were leaving and asked to speak with him, re the refund, he refused to come out to us. Another staff member gave us the refund. I was going to put it down to a one off and try again but not after the way the manager carried on. Never again.

Food and drink was good enough for the price, which is very affordable, but the staff didn't want to be there. I can understand, they are teenagers. I hated my job when I was a teenager too, but where it gets depressing is the customers didn't want to be there either. Such a shame for a nice pub in a very nice old building, but the atmosphere dire.Riff raff in there on a Sunday evening while folks are buying roast dinners, trying to make people feel uncomfortable and intimidated.Service made me feel as though I should feel guilty for even being there and buying anything. Will try again on match day and adjust my score accordingly.

Booked a table for food for my partners birthday.Waited over 45 mins for food to be told ours was being served at the minute.Waited another 30 mins to be told that it was still going to be another 20 mins.Ended up leaving because of the film start time with out any food.I could have understood if it was busy. But there was only 3 tables eating!Wouldn't go again, or recommend!

Great place to get a pint and pub food! This is my friend's go-to place to watch his Football game and cheering for Arsenal F.C. We been regulars here that the staff recognized us!My favourite menu item and usual for me was the Serf and Turf Cluck burger which had beef patty, fried chicken and shrimp with fries/chips. It was my usual meal until they got rid of it that I had to custom make it. The chicken tenders with jerk sauce (I hope that is correct as it has been two years since I been to this place).Lots of usual drinks. The staff are amazing and will create drinks on request and based on North America like one of my friends asked them to make Alien Brain Hemorrhage shot. One day I will return to Counting House and order my usual item!
