Website made this place look more restaurant bar than pub. It's a proper pub. Very noisy and food was just frozen food warmed up. Cheap enough and nice staff but wouldn't recommend eating here unless you're after a cheap pub meal.

The best Chicken Club Baguette I've ever had and a brilliant pint. An absolute bargain at £6.50

Best Burgers Going! Who needs places like five guys & Byron when these smash out QUAD burgers with a drink for under £10! Definitely going to be back and a new place for working lunches now

Following on my from original review below I decided to try again and booked another table for Saturday 20th November- brilliant time had, arrived at just before 5pm got some drinks and then asked about table - straight away the gentleman went to booth and cleaned table. Food was absolutely delicious only downside was the 15 minute wait for drinks ordered on the app. Throughly enjoyable 3 hours spent and will definitely be back again, well done.Original Review 30th October- Booked and paid deposit for table for myself, husband and daughter for 4pm for food and then to watch 5.30 footie on Saturday, arrived at 4 and no table reserved, apparently you shouldn’t be able to book for same day (booked at 10am) as they don’t look at bookings taken on the day. Was finally shown a totally inadequate table which would barely fit 3 drinks on let along 3 meals. Totally disappointed as The Friary has always been a favourite for drinks and cocktails when we stay in Leicester after the football. Ended up having to go elsewhere which was not as enjoyable as the evening should have been.

Very disappointing visit today monday22nd Nov.Ordered 3 meals for 60th birthday,2 meals not even enough for a child's portion and a mixed grill which was burnt after asking for medium steak!!! When confronted young girl she said "would you like a free pudding " £25 and left still hungry. Will stick with Wetherspoons cheaper and a free drink

I went in this week for breakfast with my friend and was served by Peter. Genuinely the kindest bar staff I’ve ever met. Can’t wait to go again! Thank you!

Good Burgers, nice food.3 of us went in there for food mid weekend in the evening. But when we went back for more food on Friday evening door staff said he had to book food at the weekends.I think it was something to do with the Manchester vs Leicester game the following day. We aren't even from Manchester, I'm Irish and my two pal are from Yorkshire.

This place is AWFUL! DONT GO THERE ESPECIALLY FOR FOOD! THEY BURNT ALL MY FOOD AND WHEN I COMPLAINED IT TOOK THEM 40 MINUTES TO REPLACE MY ORDER AND GOT IT WRONG! THEN WHEN I ASKED FOR THE MANAGER AND A REFUND, THEY TOOK OVER 2 HOURS TO GET THE MANAGER AND DIDNT GIVE ME THE COMPLIMENTARY FREE DRINK ID BEEN PROMISED! AWFUL! SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE! THE MANAGER CARRIED ON SERVING OTHER PEOPLE INSTEAD OF COMING TO SORT THE PROBLEM! I FEEL SORRY FOR THE POOR BOY SERVING US AS HE GOT THE BRUNT OF EVERYTHING!
