Brilliant outdoor space, very relaxing brilliant bar staff ....and the beer .. amazing!!

I booked Sunday lunch for 3 people rather late. 2 being vegetarian and 1 of the 2 being gluten free as well. The chef went so out of his way to make sure we were all catered for and happy. Thank you very much.

Hosted me and my family for a party in the bowling alley at the back. Was such good fun and they were really good to us all night. The food was great too and such good value. Awesome pub!

Disappointed - been there numerous times in the past and always had a lovely meal, with plenty of extra food available and a wide choice of desserts. However, today, the beef was too hard and chewy for one member of our party to eat, the roast potatoes were overcooked and most of the desserts were gone! Oh, and they had also run out of mint sauce!! Shan't be returning in a hurry!

They were unable to cater for our Gluten Free and Dairy Free requirements.Edit to reply to owner: This is not exactly what we were told on the night. Our member of staff took 4 trips back and forth to the kitchen and still left us all not confident in her response. Using the phrases 'I think' is not acceptable when dealing with allergen advice. Poor allergen advice can kill and hence those affected do not take the risks when they have poor confidence in the staff. If we were to attend most other restaurants/pubs, we would be handed out an allergen advice sheet - this was not available at your establishment.Following your reply about the vegan Quorn sausages, I stand corrected and will let him know, but this is just what was fedback to me from him.I am heavily disappointed with the tone of your replies, something I would not expect from a professional page, however I will not let that jade my review.I can guarantee that following our visit we were not satisfied with the allergen advice given. In your other replies you say a poor review looks bad on me, but considering this review was our honest experience and appears to be a lack of confidence/communication by the serving staff as opposed to a kitchen problem, combined with your rude response, I feel this looks more bad on you.

Wonderful friendly staff who let us in early. My friends and I thought the pub opened at 11am for coffee. We had our babies with us and had just been swimming so wanted a quick coffee. Despite not quite being ready for customers, the staff welcomed us in. We will definitely come again during opening times. Many Thanks x

We love this place. It's been given a new lease of life since the new landlord took over about two years ago. A very cosy and welcoming pub....traditional style with good old fashioned 'service with a smile'. The dining room is seperate from the bar and there's usually a log fire burning on chillier evenings. In the summer months we have often eaten in the garden which has lovely patio furniture. The food is really delicious..all home made and my husband is now addicted to the Garlic Mushrooms and Lasagne...not to mention the Sunday Lunch which has the best crispy roast potatoes EVER ! The bar is dog friendly and a great place to call in for a drink before heading home after a walk.
